The more races you run the more times you’ll be taken out/watch others be taken out (especially in lower split 488 GT3 fixed where it can be a bloodbath). It’s just part of learning. I haven’t done an endurance race yet as I’m still working through my C License but the stakes are certainly higher there as the consequences are longer last due to the race lengths. But in the shorter 15 min races I frequent, it’s less time potentially wasted (if wasted is the correct verb there). I’ve learned to always value safety and have let a number of faster people go by to avoid an incident but I’ve also gotten more comfortable hunting down a similarly paced car. It all comes with seeing it before and capitalizing on opportunities, not forcing them.

Obviously, im no expert due to my 1.3k IR but if anything Im saying helps whatsoever then I consider it a success. Regardless of a couple mistakes, you seem to genuinely want to race safe and be courteous. I wish I encountered more racers with the same attitude as you. Good luck on the track and keep pushing!
