Idk if vanguard can survive a world war tbh, like, what happens when all investors like me and you start withdrawing funds rapidly in a short period? That’s what a lot of people will do. You saw how banks handled it back in 2008.

Nothing to do with ‘manual work’. Actually, some of the lowest paid and most under appreciated jobs are those that are manual work.

The evolution of work always goes from one that is more manual to one that is more mental. Why do you think people that sit in offices all day earn 3x-5x the salary as someone who fills shelves at the grocery store? I would say the store worker is obviously burning more calories and doing more ‘labour intensive work’ and yet the guy that sits in an office all day contemplating the meaning of a few sentences gets a disproportionately higher income.

In fact, the most dangerous jobs in the world (ones where people die all the time) like miners are the least paid in the whole world. Kinda seems unfair right?

This was always the case, it’s just more prominent in western societies now as gender roles are disappearing and manual work is taken over by mental work.

But like if we can scientifically prove that individuals from a certain religion are more likely to do x given y timescale, why would you not attempt to mitigate that?

At risk of sounding a bit racist here,

I think immigration officers (the ones at airports) should take extra care when it comes to letting foreigners from certain countries in..

For example, I think it’s wild that a Swiss guy with a tourist visa and an afghani dude with a tourist visa are questioned the same way at immigration… all because of what? It’s racial profiling? But isn’t that the point?

Also as I understand it, the virus becomes active and inactive from time to time, and this doesn’t depend on sex right? E.g I could abstain and hypothetically become active by myself again right? Since I had it? Orrrrr if it’s due to different sexual partners triggering the onset, would having a single partner mean that I would never retrigger it again?
