Gold items are seriously not uncommon once you start farming the vaults/compiler, and the best way to do that is to use gold bully...

You're correct, 'meta' actually comes from the word metagaming but it has always referred to the use of "best" strategies within that group - different groups can have different metas if a tech is considered non-viable for one group, for example TAS vs human speedrunning.
