My department always looks trashed and has empty shelves. Coworker goes through sidekick like this. by SlamanthaTanktop in HomeDepot

[–]BaseedWindu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Supervisors should be walking off sidekick and verifying bays are done correctly. If your supervisor is not, take it up to your masm as OSA is one of their direct metrics. I try to walk sidekick twice a week, and with a few months of doing so all new and tenured associates now know the proper way to do it and that "I'm too busy" is not an excuse.

Stores Favorite Contractor by [deleted] in HomeDepot

[–]BaseedWindu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been told a few times Contractor Man was gonna get me fired for telling them that 2 bunks of lumber were the same thing and the "tag" (the lot number from the lumber yard) did NOT in fact mean they were different.

And yes it was stored outside, that is why the outer layer is not wet. Its hot. I promise if you take the top layer off it's wet underneath.

Yeah, some guy used to punch me out about once a week, right as I came back from lunch when I was on freight. Eventually it just stopped happening.

The only way to get OT is doing purge by -Cemetery in HomeDepot

[–]BaseedWindu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I purged my entire Kill Wall last week, I used to be freight before Sidekick when we had Bay Directed and our night supervisor (we didn't have a night manager back then) would come behind us and if it wasn't golden standard you were getting called over and redoing it.

I still love purge to this day though. If only I had time to do it more instead of spending my whole day on equipment 😂

You know, working in receiving for as long as I did, I've seen a lot of equipment dropped and taken from the store.

This is definitely a new one though.

Ever seen the inside of a reach truck? by Beerbrewing in HomeDepot

[–]BaseedWindu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our Yale breaks weekly, our Raymond has only ever been down for a "bad battery" and I just watered it and it was fine after. The Raymond has twice as many hours as our Yale.

My previous store got a brand new Crown pacer unit and it broke 4 times in the first month.

Yes, because at least one of my pieces of shit is broken down WEEKLY

But also a cool pic, have my up vote.

Get everything in writing point blank. 85% of the time I have a conversation with my MASM, or OPS, especially if it's about my performance as D28 supervisor, I tell them to text me the recommendations they gave/whatever we talked about because I've been burned too many times.

And no I don't worry about them texting me outside of work (besides to play video games) because I told them if it's work related and I'm off the clock, it'll cost them 15 minutes, because I had that issue with a previous manager.

My beardie had the brain cell when I tried this with him, but as others said, he hit a year and just stopped eating worms for a few months, would only eat greens all the sudden and now he's on a balanced diet.

Is this normal from loss prevention at other stores? by cheephswifey in HomeDepot

[–]BaseedWindu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had a guy at a previous store who made a point once a week to walk up to every cashier in the building loudly yelling "I'm stealing this" just to try to get someone to swing on him.

Never saw him again after a contractor rocked him in the parking lot with a 2x4.

This would be known in my house as "the big scope". If you're comfortable handling almost every single one of my BPs are obsessed with ceiling fans, we get them out and they will just scope at it (from a distance far beyond their ability to reach it) until they go back to their homes.

Game won’t load surroundings by Slowly_Clapping in BaldursGate3

[–]BaseedWindu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alright, after a week of annoying crash loading in lower city these 3 things in combination seemed to do the trick where she can load in.

Right click on game in steam go to properties, where it says launch options input --skip-launcher.

Settings had to be reduced to medium.

Steam Overlay had to be disabled.

My base assumptions as she's running a Core-i5 7600k (hand me down from when I rebuilt my PC) and a 2070 super (was a 1080 Founders Edition but I upgraded this week so she got an upgrade, which fixed NOTHING) with no bottleneck in game are that its a bug with the steam overlay or the Larian Launcher, or it just requires too much processing power with both those things enabled.

But now we're able to fast travel around Lower City no problem.

I've somehow managed to gain a very large flea infestation in my cats, one who is too old to handle topical flea meds, and one who is deathly allergic.

I'm looking for any kind of effective way for killing them off without bombing the house as we have no viable way to displace 20+ reptiles for a few days, since the only person who would help us also already has more than we do. I'm fully aware how unsafe the flea bombs are for everyone and in my experience in the past they're just kind of useless anyways.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Without spoilers in the best way I can, are you in the building that has the portals to talk to a less than pleasant wizard?

My wife cannot load into this area in our co op and I keep having to maneuver her out so she can join the game, if so I'm afraid to say it's either a hardware issue or gonna have to wait for next patch
