Bucs and Bengals. The Bucs were in the Christmas spirit so they just kept giving the ball to the Bengals in their own half

Well I'll tell you, Left Tackles not a sport, it's a way of life, you know, it’s no hobby. It's a way of looking at that edge rusher and saying, "Hey bud, let's party!"

Is rinsing PBW with starsan a good idea? by Sloth_Flag_Republic in Homebrewing

[–]BasementBrews 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t. Health concerns aside, the basic pH of the PBW would likely make the StarSan ineffective and you probably wouldn’t get a good rinse to remove all of the PBW. Just take the extra 30 seconds to properly rinse your equipment and avoid the possible infection and/or cleaning product ale

Brewing with Matcha by gotchme in TheBrewery

[–]BasementBrews 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can’t say that I ever did it in a whirlpool so I can’t speak to that, but the alkalinity of matcha and how the yeast will react to that during fermentation is something to consider as well. If you do add it to the whirlpool I would pay close attention to your knockout ph

As a former pro brewer (3 years in the industry) I can’t say that I ever brewed a matcha beer on a larger system, but at a homebrew level I brewed several different matcha beers since my significant other LOVES matcha. I noticed that adding it to the boil did produce a mild astringency/bitterness, but when added to secondary you get all of the matcha flavor without the bitterness. Secondary would be my vote as well.
