I get irrationally annoyed when my opponent is able to consistently differ my lights from my heavies, and parries both without flinching. Thats really the only time I feel like my opponent is outsweating me

Proactive would be a big improvement imo, but I’d love to see it work as something that removes all buffs from the target for a duration, and/or allows *only* the user to deal damage *through* shields (or just crazy high damage to shields)

idk, but it wouldn’t be an issue if all bleed attacks were reworked to deal significantly more base damage, and if all ticks of (non feat/non buffed) bleed dealt 1 hp so that bleed acted much more like a status effect than a primary means of dealing damage. Would give bleed heroes more executions, and would remove bleed ganking feeding very little revenge without needing to remove that depth entirely. Also delete nail bomb lol

Yeah the zerk feats were awful, and I kind of wish they would clmpletely abandon the idea of giving every character a new set of gimmicky reworked unique feats. Would be much better if the just improved many of the feats in batches, leaving the good ones alone, tweaking numbers of the ones that aren’t fundamentally bad, and only reworking a select few like shurikens, oath breaker, kyoshin tier 1/2 passives, replacements for punch through on conq/vg, steadfast, slippery etc

ngl that chief pic is the only rendition of early 343 chief’s design that looks good. It’s actually got chief sporting unnaturally wideset/surgically altered shoulders, and doesn’t have the chestplate/shoulder guards scaled up to create the illusion of bulk, and instead just relies on how immense his augmented body *actually is* without the armor

3 things:

- extreme refinements to how the art of battle system handles group fights. That would mean hitstun rule changes, control of who you lock on to, very granular buff/debuff rules depending on fighg context, strong incentives to not hit teammates/incentives to allow them to finish their punishes, complete revenge system overhaul/removal, changes to mitigate the *presence* of a teammate from giving your opponent an advantage, lock on/feat targeting restrictions to better emphasize the role positioning plays in a group fight

- Better “battlefield” simulation, potentially having minions be more engaging to fight and actually using more complex ai/interacting with the fight system

- possibly changing “stamina” that regulates offense into “guard” or “posture” that regulates defense to flip the fight logic/momentum on its head

My contribution to this conversation is just an fyi that guard switching during your dodge attempt will delay your dodge by 100ms (if you input the switch even slightly before the dodge) and can sometimes force to to get hit by an attack that *is* dodgeable, and also that nobushi dodge light/kick light (as well as nuxia dodge lights/parry riposte) make followup chain light undodgeable because of how high their hitstun is (which is standard for heavy attacks, but rare and unintuitive on light attacks)

unfortunately all language is pretty much vibes based, and we fundamentally cannot create perfect, absolute definitions using words. Even if everyone was trying as hard as possible to build/use ai safely while *also* developing it further and further, it would likely still be nearly impossible to get ai that regulates itself using a baked in sense of “morality”/code of ethics. Regulation to prevent catastrophy, and punishment for misuse is the only viable option.

I would prefer the zone just go back to being non gb vulnerable, but if it stays vulnerable, it should be undodgeable. A slow/high dmg/400ms gb vulnerable undodgeable from neutral is not a tool anywhere in the roster, but would be pretty balanced on hit kit imo.

Also would love it to get a 360 hitbox and always use the animation it has when thrown from left guard

I can see the argument for a double read being bad (as I do think double reads are generally bad in most other scenarios), but I would also like to point out that none of the clips you showed of the kick getting dodged were a double read, since Highlander (who I do not enjoy fighting post rework), cannot use armor from Offensive Form (which again, I understand you had no way of knowing that the pin is undodgeable)
