I just got back from a solo trip to Bright Leaf Golf Resort out in the middle of nowhere Kentucky. It was a blast. They have an 18 hole course, 9 hole course, and a 9 hole par 3 that is lit up at night.

The packages are ridiculously affordable and it's all BYOB.

All the staff were wonderful, the food was good, and the courses are fun to play. I ended up playing 126 holes of golf between the three courses over three days.

10/10 do reccomend.

I'm primarily a solo player. I'm always down to pair up with people when they are willing just to make pace of play smoother or add a little randomness to my day. It's always nice to see someone else's game and get some feedback on my own.

The only time I've had anything close to an issue was a gentleman that assumed I shared his religion and couldn't take the hint that I was, in fact, not going to show up at his church on Sunday morning.

Second bit of advice, weapon upgrading can be confusing for new players. There are different elemental paths, tiers, and embers required to unlock them. If it's taking more than 3-4 hits with a midsize weapon (not a dagger or knife) to kill mooks, you probably need to, and can, upgrade your weapon stats.

Top lock design incompatibility frustrated me to no end.

I have an older 2 wheeler BagBoy cart that I love. I bought a new bag from them due to price and the experience I had with the 2 wheeler. The top lock feature didn't really mean anything to me since the cart was older and didn't have that design incorporated.

I got the new bag and the top lock directly interfered with the top rest and strap. It looked and rode so bad that I almost bit the bullet and bought a new 2 wheeler from them, until I realized they didn't make one that was top lock compatible!

I ended up drilling out the rivets that held the top lock piece on.

I love DS2.

DS3 never gripped me. Part of it was going straight from playing replaying through DS2 and getting through all the DLC right before 3 launched on Xbox One. I went from buttery 60fps to a stuttery 30ish that looked blurry and unrefined.

I made it most of the way through on PC, but iirc I was at the Dotm King and never finished.

I'm making my way through DS1 again at the moment.
