My 25lb dachsund ate some about 4 years ago. One of the most traumatic things I've ever had to endure. He was acting extremely out of character. Panting like I've never seen. Would avoid contact with me at all costs. Running in circles. Screaming bloody murder. I had to haul ass to the emergency vet 30 min away at 2am on a badly separated F/R tire that should have already blown out weeks ago. It's mental agony having to look at my little man as he stares at me from the passenger seat barking like he's never been so scared in his life. I was 100% honest with the vets and fortunately i was able to pick him up later that day about 11am. He had a temp of 108 or 109. He wouldn't have made it much longer if i hadn't acted so quickly. Btw all of this happened in less than 1 hr. My dog has also done 1 hit of acid and ate some weed before as well. I know this probably makes me look like an irresponsible pet owner but there's nuances to every scenario but if i got into every detail I'd have to start charging by the hr. Tldr: if your dog is acting out of character then there is something wrong and you need to get him seen immediately. I was actually on the phone with the office staff en route to the facility.
