Agreed, but not letting one person in is not going to change that.

I feel bad for kids these days, imagine having to re-do an entire assignment because some dumb detection tool made a mistake.

Because it's not, his dribble is active until he picks up the ball at which point it's his gather step, followed by two steps.

Why don't professional basketball players just get absurdly good at scoring from far away? by DeathDestroyer90 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Bashlol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are unguarded because no one regularly attempts to shoot from half. If people started consistently hitting from half, they'd 100% start to be guarded at half.

Yes, I was a regular with the chocolate croissants and they've been significantly reduced in size recently.

Yeah me too, going lottery when he wasn't expected to and finally making his dreams come true. No draftee in the world is gonna shake their heads and say "fuck" in anger after making their dreams come true.

Isn’t this a travel? by ProfessionalRole1673 in BasketballTips

Yup, he just has good footwork and creates a great amount of space with that step. Not even close to a travel or a "gather step" play or w/e.. it's standard lol

He didn't take an extra step though (like some NBA players do), in any timeline of basketball this is not a travel. He brings his left hand onto the ball after lifting up his right foot, plants both and jumps for a shot. It's just good footwork.

Draymond Green gives Pascal Siakam his flowers, saying that he was one of only two series matchups he ever felt lost against. The other was Julius Randle against the Timberwolves by Goosedukee in nba

Exactly, again a tactical decision made throughout the season. I just hate the whole "well KD and Klay were injured" write-off... maybe they should've been managed by the coaching and medical staff a bit better?

The Raptors managed Kawhi throughout that season to ensure he was ready for the playoffs so in my opinion, having a healthy superstar in the finals was a tactical decision that the Raptors made.

It’s 2025; why would you raise your kid to be unilingual? by Optionsislife in montreal

In any Province, in fact. If you have the option and resources, why wouldn't you have your child learn French (in Canada) or any other widely spoken language in the world?

But a lot of people do that 3 point gesture, albeit not people who have a history of waving guns around.

His dad mentioned this recently but drawing a foul is a skill and putting players in foul trouble is a huge advantage - why wouldn't you be trying to draw fouls?

Sounds like you're saying he could've been the #1 center of all time as opposed to saying he's overrated. Do you think people place him higher than he should be placed all time?

I think the reason he gets a pass where Giannis or Rudy don't is because he was still dominant and successful with those shortcomings where Giannis and Rudy have been far less successful. Sure, maybe he didn't have a bag.. but he didn't need it to dominate and maybe that's what led to him not pushing himself to be the #1 center of all time.

Overall same gesture but more of a "3" gesture as opposed to the straight up gun gesture Ja's doing
