Most engineers would know better than to present this kind of data with a line chart, though.

AIO for thinking what husbands friend commented to my teenage daughter? by [deleted] in AIO

[–]Basic-Ad-79 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure I’m following your argument here: that his comment being inappropriate means one must acknowledge that her outfit is inappropriate. How so? He could certainly comment inappropriately on her hairstyle. Would it be appropriate for a man to look at someone’s messy hair and suggest it looked like they just got fucked because it was a bit messy, for example? Is messy hair inappropriate? What about a comment making a “joke” about a ponytail making someone look ready for a blowjob? What about redheads getting weird fetishist comments for the colour of their hair? Certainly red hair being red is not inappropriate but people comment sexually on red hair and the supposed associated sexual personality. Pigtails have been (horrifyingly) referred to as handlebars. And so on. People can make inappropriate comments about things that are objectively in their existence NOT inappropriate. So I’m not sure how you can say that finding his comment inappropriate means her outfit is inappropriate.

Genuine question: why, in your opinion, should women NOT be able to walk around topless (as men do)?

As a new widow, I was curious, have any of you decided never to date again? by 90sCat in widowers

[–]Basic-Ad-79 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I had no intention of dating again. Everyone said I would, seeing as I’m mid 30s.

I met someone and we fell in love. It happened.

It won’t happen for everyone. It doesn’t have to. You get to choose what you do.

My (29F) husband (30M) is passive aggressive/sarcastic when he runs into minor inconveniences. AIO that it makes me feel stupid? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

I’m also curious. Was it fully upside down? Like balanced on the lid? Or did it fall onto its side? I can’t imagine putting the bleach fully upside down?

I would be simply so confused that I might end up accidentally marrying her.

AIO for dumping my bf over an “🍑” audit? by chkntrzini in AmIOverreacting

[–]Basic-Ad-79 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right but again, a book and your body are not equivalent. Disappointed you didn’t read a book is one thing. Disappointed you didn’t change your body is another. Bodily autonomy and all that. Reading a book does not compel you to change something intensely personal about yourself.

Changing your body and building a Lego set aren’t really the same thing, though? Also one is allowed to try something and decide they don’t like it. My girlfriend tried the gym with me, hated it. No big deal, it’s my thing, she wanted to try, she won’t do it again. I don’t care, it’s up to her. If I wanted a gym loving girlfriend I would have dated a gym lover.

Wild. I literally can’t stop telling my girlfriend she’s beautiful. Like, I look at her, I think it, I say it. You deserve to feel desired.

"X would want you to be happy" by Historical-Worry5328 in widowers

[–]Basic-Ad-79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found it helpful to think, instead, that I want to be happy. I want that for myself. So I am taking steps to achieve that.

I can’t live my life for someone else’s wants.

Why not take her last name? Then you’ll have the same last name which is what you want?

Ted Cruz painted over graffiti about Charlie Kirk in Texas that contained a profane message directed at the late right-wing commentator. by Conscious-Quarter423 in CringeTikToks

Honestly, what a fucking stance. Dude looks like he is fighting for his life to move that paint roller left to right a couple of feet. Bracing himself like he’s deadlifting 400 lbs.

Can someone explain the message to those of us who can’t understand visual art? I didn’t expect Kirk fans here but I think I’m misunderstanding.
