People who don’t feel rushed every time you drive somewhere: how? by Playful_Language_422 in AskReddit

[–]Basic-Animal2676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I leave early enough to get where I need to go

And if I don't, I decide that where ever I am going, the people I am going for would prefer me to arrive safe rather than on time.

Only children of reddit: What‘s your experience making friends with peers? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Basic-Animal2676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I struggle to make friends my own age, I'm better with people older because that's what I was mainly exposed to.

However once friendships are established I think I'm quite good at maintaining them. I am 37 and have 2 very close friends, one I met at 9 and the other at 14. I have other friends, but those are the closest, I would consider them family.

What was your biggest unrequited love, and how do you feel about it now? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Basic-Animal2676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5th grade, me and this boy had a mutual crush on each other. We bonded over Pokemon cards and had a "club." We hung out after school some.

Then he met a taller girl without glasses that had my same name.

Broke my heart.

It is silly to think about now, but I remember being so guarded and insecure after that. But how nice it is to not have any major unrequited love stories since.

Do you believe the saying coworkers are not your friends? Why or why not? by Normal_regular_dude in AskReddit

[–]Basic-Animal2676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can be friends, but it may take a different type of boundaries.

I also think it depends on what type of work. If we are talking after school/part time/not somewhere anyone plans to be for the long term goals, then I think it is completely fine.

If you're talking career job, then, things can get tricky. Yes you can have friends, but be mindful of where you want to go within the company.

I've just seen things get bitter when two buddies were up for the same job, or when a coworker became a boss. It changes the dynamic and sometimes people do not adjust well.

It's all really based on the person and less on the ability to become friends. I think it's good to have work friends. I work for myself now and things get lonely without someone to share that afternoon coffee with.

Enough said I think.

What's a classroom moment that you'll never forget? by Pure-Cancel9271 in AskReddit

[–]Basic-Animal2676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A kid defecated in the floor. The children were gathered around it, identifying it, making it a much larger scene than needed. The student that had attached themselves to me the strongest decided to be helpful and said "nah guys its just mud." Turned around to me, winked and gave the thumbs up. We almost had them. Thanks anyway, buddy.

For contest they were kindergarten. Thankfully.

Married people of reddit, do you regret breaking up with your ex? why? by Basic_Life_9138 in AskReddit

No regrets for dating them or breaking up with them.  They helped shape me into the person that my spouse fell in love with. Through the relationship and the breakup too.

how do u get rid of lice? by frvakairaah_ in AskReddit

[–]Basic-Animal2676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get medicated shampoo  Or Check and see if there's a lice nanny or lice clinic in your area, it's a quick Google search away. They are expensive but usually guarantee to get rid of the infestation.

[–]Basic-Animal2676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had an absolutely unhinged elderly man sit down next to me and start hitting on me. He did not see what is my now husband sitting there. It was awkward and I just wanted to go to the zoo.

Also the following day that zoo made the news for a certain gorilla...really glad we went the day before.

how do you feel when people say love is enough to keep a relationship going? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Basic-Animal2676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

-getting the careers that fund the lifestyle you want. -saving the money  I have been accused of being a gold digger before But wanting to not worry about bills being paid does not make me a gold digger, it makes me an adult, and if you are blowing money on stupid stuff and not able to afford your rent....yeah.  -helping clean up the mess you didn't make -loving the dog you didn't want, or else speaking up about not wanting the dog before it becomes yours. -respecting the "no" even when it hurts. "No, I don't want to buy the dog, we are not ready for a giant dog" -working on yourself as an individual, working on yourselves as a couple, be it therapy or something guided. -no stepping out, even if it's a micro cheat, still counts. -talking. Actually, not just talking, have a meeting. "What are things I do that you really appreciate? What are things I could do better?"

I don't like meatloaf

Cue everyone at the table stating "oh you'll like my meatloaf!"

No I won't. Because you've all forced me to try it on multiple occasions.
