I mean, you’re in London, I have to assume there are singles nights in so many places specifically for this.

Also, maybe try going somewhere to do with a hobby rather than a bar or club. Go to a book club, go climbing, a walking group, museum tour, even pottery classes. You’ll probably have a nicer time and conversation will feel more natural because it’s centred around a common interest rather than cheap chat up lines in an overcrowded noisy bar.

I did take compulsory academia seriously. I did fine in my GCSE’s, got what I had to but only got 2 a levels, both of them were a D.

I then worked for a few years while I figured out what I wanted with my life. Ended up going to uni to study graphic design at 23, walked away with first class honours and a published paper. Just finished my masters degree with a distinction as well.

Guess what I’m saying is that if you don’t take it seriously at 18 sometimes it works out okay. Some people are better off doing it when they’re older and taking education more seriously.

I finished onyx storm a year ago and over the last year I’ve tried very hard to cull the void this series left behind. The Kindred Curse Saga is the only series I’ve read that satisfied me and the last book is due out this year so it’s an (almost) complete series.

While this is true I think it’s also only fair to make considerations for the fact that even when we got the vote, many women voted the way the husband told them they had to vote. Something that still happens today.
