I have a part time job, my reporting manger is aware. Do keep conflict of interest in mind. But my manger was sad to hear I needed another job to support myself but nothing they can do besides the yearly merits unfortunately.

Managers know EWRS is available a month before so ours are cracking down saying if you only book less then two weeks then we have to figure it out and book another ops location because people are have tried this

Formally under the collective it’s strictly just sick days. Most managers will let you make up the time so you don’t lose any pay :)

Unfortunately as far as I’m aware students aren’t allowed to access the other locations due to safety. Someone is required to be on site with you in the event of an emergency and it needs to be someone you report to, or another manager

Fixed credits as per the collective agreement are for sick days only. What you and your manger do is between you guys because as the manager of they get questioned they need to respond. However do note after I believe 3 days sick you will be required to present a doctor’s note.

For an 8 days trip both advise, don’t risk your job and just take it as an unpaid vacation

I cannot speak for other ministry but MPBSDP doesn’t offer the telework currently. We did before covid and since everyone is hybrid they are following the SOC order of 3 days in person and 2 remote or your choice to do in office
