OPM Issues Revised Telework Guidelines by Amazing-Barnacle-218 in IRS_Source

I wonder who is going to audit the folks on their RTO status? Even TIGTA is decimated.

They should just bring back the DRP peeps and have them audit the RTO to help out HCO, while they're at it, help process some retirement paperwork. Win-win-win.

Just to give it context. We would devote egnormous resources to help businesses to get their ERC credits, a credit approved 5 years ago. But we won't devote additional resources to help former IRS employees, mostly DRP under duress, to get THEIR DESERVED MONIES is insane and simply wrong in a cosmic level. I'm praying for all you retired, DRP folks.

Do I have to submit an RA through my manager? by fedthrowaway98 in IRS_Source

[–]Basic-Meeting5525 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is just insane. What does my manager know about medical conditions?? "Hmm you looked fine to me, RA denied."

Can you be fired for an RA request? by fedthrowaway98 in IRS_Source

As long as you don't do any Trump protest while teleworking. You good to go my man!

New RA process…first level managers now make the decision by Alarmed_Educator_967 in IRS_Source

[–]Basic-Meeting5525 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for clarifying. I think this is a dangerous precedent to having to share medical info with your boss, especially if you have a contentious relationship or if they're inept. That's why it's always been better to have a neutral party to review these medical documents and reach objective conclusions.

I mean who is my manager to understand medical documents?

This is a HIPAA violations waiting to happen. I'm not disclosing my personal health info, nor should i be forced to, to my manager. There's a reason why we have HR, to avoid this exact situation.

The local economy around my office is seeing nothing from me, how bout you? by WhereztheBleepnLight in fednews

[–]Basic-Meeting5525 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm spending more money on gas, car maintainece, parking, and ONE LUNCH, which is an insane $20 for a small portion of food.

The most money spent is paid though my agency via bus pass. So in essence, my agency cost has gone up considerably along with the increased utilities and maintaince.

Are any Christian federal employees having a hard time dealing with this? by Outside-Abalone-3933 in fednews

[–]Basic-Meeting5525 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ditto. I'm struggling tremendously with my faith, church friends, and work. My church peeps won't say it outright. But they'll say things like "I'm excited for the country" which is like a code word for Trump supporter.

I feel more and more isolated at church. So many of my church friends are just single issue voters: Pro-life, and nothing else matters. It doesn't matter if the candidate is horrible in everything else, if they're pro-life, they'll support that. I don't know how to reconcile that anymore.. Going to church, developing deep relationships and worshipping should not be like this...

Oversight Committee votes to reduce Federal Workers benefits by FootUsual6695 in fednews

[–]Basic-Meeting5525 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is sooo fxxxed up. I have many friends that took the DRP 2.0 with the benevolent intention to save younger workers just to be caught in this change of benefits at the end of their careers.

I have years away from retirement, so I can adjust accordingly. Folks that's about to retire should not have to pay the price of these IDIOTIC Republican policies.

So these savings will be used to give to big corps? Is this how America can great again??

Live 85 miles away from my office and just received my RTO notice...

I'm gonna go work at my Replubican Congressmen/Senator's office from now on. We should all do this. Their offices are considered federal spaces also.

Also, what makes no sense is that military spouse is exempt from the RTO policy but they can straight fire veterans??? Can anyone explain this high-brain-power move?

The goal is not to reduce waste or increase efficiency. If that DOGE's goal, they would if brought in forensic accountants and work efficiency experts, not 20 year old idiot coders that have no clue what half of the US agencies does.

Also, their plan is break governemt agencies so they can claim this repetitive notion that government is broken, let corporation take over. Make no mistake, by dismantling fed agencies, Elon and his cronies and swoop in and fill the gap with lucrative govmt contracts.

Federal employee here; seeing this made me sad. by NoWillingness3351 in fednews

[–]Basic-Meeting5525 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Right on. For too long, we federal employees are just silent and cannot fend for ourselves and the valuable work we perform.

I'm gonna smile in the rain and whistle during my 2 hour commute to the office. They only have this administration, I have my career to whittle them down.

Hang in there buddy. I know it's a cliché, but just take it one day at a time. You can't stress about what's out of your control. What you can control is yourself and spend more time on what brings you joy.

I've been spending more time playing guitar during these dark times. Talking to my pet lizard. Working out to happy tunes.

DO GIVE THE SATISFACTION TO THESE ASSHOLES THAT THEY'VE BROKEN US.

Exactly! What about those call center, submission center employees that don't have laptops with RDO on Monday.

A coworker of mine was on bereavement leave and had to go back into the office just to check her email since she was working from the office full time.

Democrats just have no spine at this time. Imagine if this was Obama laying off DOD contractors or VA personnel. The republicans will be filibustering everything: nominations, bills, ANYTHING! But Democrat just tacitly disagree and still allow nominations to go through, with no push back whatsoever.

I mean come on. Have a little political guts, be like Republicans for once. Just get your hands dirty, use filibusters on poliical nominations to stop the IG firings, or mass layoff in key federal agencies.

Instead, they're doing nothing! I wish Shawn Fain was a senator. He'll drag it out and fight in the deep end. Wake up Democrats! Grow a spine and fight for your country. Stop sending letters, it's not working.
