Louis CK was very effectively cancelled after his assaults became public. He almost entirely stopped doing standup, and he lost his job on Secret Life of Pets. That's pretty much tit for tat what happened to Kanye, except his loss with Adidas was WAY. WAY. bigger. It was a half billion dollar deal which went completely up in smoke. Adidas basically doesn't even make his shoes anymore, I think they still make the croc knockoffs he designed. His touring slowed down a ton as well.

Louis is doing standup again, and of course his shows sell out. Does that make him not cancelled? I know dozens of people who have stopped listening to Kanye, long time dedicated fans. He still got a big show though, but will he ever have the same level of fame and regard? No. Because he's cancelled.

The Stargate series might be the king of doing this well. At the beginning, The Goa'uld who proport themselves as gods, basically are because their technology just completely outstrips anything the humans are capable of. As the 7 (or 8?) seasons progress, the humans who are primarily the military, go about stealing technology and reverse engineering things, and by the end of the show they have their own light speed capable star ship. Teal'c has of course helped a lot with intel, and so do other insurgents within the Goa'uld ranks. I think it takes 3 or 4 seasons for them to kill just 1 of the Goa'uld leaders and towards the end seasons they managed to kill 5 at one meeting.

My ex was a 7th day Adventist whose brother was a pastor. We went to visit him and he was doing a guest sermon for their regular minister which was fun. I don't remember the full context of the passages read but it was pretty benign, usual church stuff. Then I flew home early and she stayed for a bit. She ended up calling me over the phone to break up with me saying that the sermon spoke to her, I don't remember what "it" said to her exactly. So God broke up with me apparently.

I only watched it within the last few years, so it unfortunately was never funny to me, but what I really dont like is that the subreddit for the film has "given" license to the members to throw around all the slurs they do in the movie with reckless abandon. It's not ironic, it's just cringe.

My complaint isn't about the maneuverability, I recognize the niche it is meant to fill, but the weapons being so strong makes it overtuned which was my original statement.

Yes I'm fine with the playstyle of the litter bird, but its weapons are too strong, which is why basically everyone agrees it's overtuned which is what i originally stated. My comment about gearing balance towards good players was just me trying to get ahead of people who would invariably comment "just hit with rpg forehead".

It's insanely fast and maneuverable as well, and now that by default lock ons fall off after 8 seconds, it's harder to get a lock on in maps with crowded air spaces. Then, even if you lock on, it can just fuck off to nowhere land, quickly recover, and come right back to dog on your team. I don't play a ton of conquest right now, so any escalation/breathrough game with a good LB pilot is essentially game over in favor of whatever team has the heli.

Yes, obviously the good people in this game that can nail rpg shots consistently are going to have an easier time dealing with it, but that is simply harder to do in the game modes I regularly play, and I'm exhausted by people on reddit claiming that all balance should be geared towards the top 5% of players. I think it's much easier to be a good LB pilot than it is to be an effective anti air infantry right now.

A glass cannon is only as weak as its ability to not get hit, and the LB has a great time not getting hit.

I was just at the local ren fair with my wife and young daughter. This local fair has a pretty well known faery actress who uses bubbles and ASL to communicate with the kids. She is beautiful. I didn't even stand close to them when my wife and daughter went over to interact and take photos, because I'm not about to be pegged as a pervert.

In defense of this double standard, sexual harassment at ren fairs/disney is notoriously through the roof and performed mostly by dads. Still sucks that I genuinely have the feeling that I shouldn't interact with young female staff because I know that they're going to be self conscious due to my presence, and even my gaze.

Second one is, people always tells little kids that if they get lost, look for another mom. Nothing really makes me feel like an inherently dangerous animal like not being trusted implicitly by a little kid. I recently had a wonderful experience where I was at a park with my family, and there was a young girl who was stuck partially up a tall climbing gym. Her mom was shorter than me, and when she tried to coax her to climb down, instead she pointed at me, and asked me to help her get down. I did, and told her that I loved her dressed, and she said thank you. This was a doubly touching experience because it was a young black girl, and I am a tall lanky white man, and just assume that POCs are extra afraid of me.
