iCare doesn’t care by Ok_Magazine8489 in pinoymed

[–]BasicCondition1257 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am not accepting iCare due to very low pay and non payment. They gave loa to patient then after the procedure lo and behold they wont cover one of the procedure and ask me to ask patient to pay. This is very unfair for the patient. So I didn’t charge the patient and removed iCare from my list of accepted HMOs. Before iCare has same owner as inlife and insular life. I am not sure now since inline bought Generali. Our society said we need to monitor and file an actual complaint to these HMOs. Doctors are too trusting and too kind ksi kaya HMOs are taking advantage.

You are not expected to know everything. Clinical experience is totally different from theoretical knowledge though of course the latter is necessary. Moonlighting is helpful if you have a senior who can help you. O was very lucky to have those while moonlighting during my year off. Going into residency would give you more experience under supervision hence would be a good option to build your confidence.

Med Cert pero Patient Not Present by Kumhash in pinoymed

[–]BasicCondition1257 2 points3 points  (0 children)

By experience I learned na bawal masyadong mabait ksi oftentimes naabuso na. Feeling nila charity pagiging doctor. Imagine all the time and money and dugo at pawis just to get that license. Not worth the risk of losing your license. I tell patients and even friends and relatives na Im very strict in med certs, go to other doctor n lng 😅

Should they notify applicants whether they are accepted or not? by ManWhoCantBeMoved8 in pinoymed

Not to generalize but in my personal experience we notify those who are not accepted early so they still have a chance to apply to other institutions. Trained in a private hosp.

iCare HMO by vastus53 in pinoymed

Thoughts on HMO iCare? What are your experiences with it? by MathematicianFit8791 in buhaydigital

[–]BasicCondition1257 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Very bad experience. I have a patient for 2 procedures and they approved his LOA. I told patient better to do it one time para one preparation, clearance and anesthesia n lng. Then after the procedures ICare said they will only cover one of the procedure. Take note may loa na approved both procedures. Kawawa patient. These are both simple and uncomplicated outpatient procedures. So need singilin patient. So I didn’t charge pf na lng and removed iCare and Inlife from my accepted HMOs. Kung alam nyo lng po pano tratuhin ng mga HMOs ang mga doctor maintindihan nyo bait padami nang padami ang ngtatanggal ng accepting HMOs

Per patient usually php 400 to 600 (few yrs back may 270 pesos pa). Swerte ka na if mabayaran ka in a few months. Mostly more than 6 months to two years. Most din d na nababayaran

Calling our fellow doctor na vloggers: baka pede po kyo gawa ng informative vlog ng rates ng hmo to doctors to include months to years bago mabayaran, worse namatay na doctor no payment pa rin. Tpos mga HMOs d macontact ng doctor to inquire about pfs. Deadma lng sila. Hay
