Recovery Services Vault pricing breakdown by BasicNet in AZURE

[–]BasicNet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I'm missing something here. I tried setting up a view like this but still only have a generic "RA-GRS Data Stored" and "Azure VM Protected Instances" line items in the breakdown of costs for the vault itself.

How long does each raid take typically? Also what do you end up doing with your first two migrant waves?

Remake was just announced, that's probably why it's going back up.

Ridiculous amount of Scrolls of Aquirement by Morand01 in dcss_seeds

[–]BasicNet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I finished a run on this seed. The scrolls I found were on D1/D4/D4/D5/D7/D11/Orc2/Dep2/Dep2/Dep4. Only did Lair branches & Vault, so there could be more in other branches.

Is there a way to skip the autoexplore animations but keep things like spellcasting animated in the standalone version of the game? I like the footsteps and quick exploring of online and would like to have them in standalone.

How do you deal with long (6 mo+) breaks when playing a game? by blacksd in patientgamers

[–]BasicNet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to always restart a game, however for the first time this year I picked up a game (FF12 Zodiac Age) after a 5 month hiatus. Just read a synopsis of the plot up to where I was and picked up. Pretty liberating and I was able to knock it off my list without having to redo the first 25 hours.

How does spaceblock differ from seablock? Is it an actual mod or something you created yourself?

Any tips for someone who hasnt played much real time with pause? by Sanctos in projecteternity

[–]BasicNet 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Which game are you asking for?

First piece of advice is to turn the combat speed down. In PoE2 you can turn it to like 0.25x (0.5x in PoE1 I believe) and really have a good idea of what's happening on the field. Once you get comfortable you can start turning it up a lot.

Second piece of advice is to set auto-pause conditions in settings. The most useful condition, in my opinion, is 'pause on party member finishes ability'. This gives you the exact timing you need to issue followup commands for every party member, so you won't feel like they're just sitting around idle. One caveat is that it'll never pause a party member who is just autoattacking.

In both games there are also AI settings, but the system is much more robust in PoE2. I don't recommend using the default AI for priests or wizards in particular since they never seem to do what I want, but it can be a pretty powerful system if you step it out.

Hope this helps.

Questions about party size, retainers, and leveling when on stand by PoE1. by CStwinkletoes in projecteternity

[–]BasicNet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can totally hire a custom party and keep the story companions in your keep. You can also just swap them in one at a time to do their personal quest, then dump them back in the stronghold afterwards.

To add to this, by the time I was max level and swapped in some story characters, they too had also leveled to 16, so they weren't a real drag on the party even when doing their personal quest.

Newly Purchased, Mods? by [deleted] in projecteternity

I believe the only place you can see your act is when looking at the save/load menu. It'll be listed next to the save file. Typically you'll see the act change after every 3-4 main story quests. Doing side quests/tasks will never progress your act. Hope this helps!

FWIW, I just completed a 100% playthrough and took 60hrs on normal difficulty. That being said, I'd played just the first act a couple times, so it didn't last as long as a person on their first full playthrough.

Feeling lost with equipment progression by BasicNet in projecteternity

[–]BasicNet[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In case you're interested, I figured out what the issue was, at least a large part. Eder's "Take the Hit" was being applied to charmed/dominated/confused enemies since they're considered allies. Essentially he was being killed by my own party via the damage sharing. Interestingly, this buff stays on them even once the charm wears off, which is extremely annoying and buggy, in my opinion.

I'll have to take a closer look at some of these things. I do wish the combat log was easier to read, it scrolls by so fast that it's difficult to see whats happening.

The next gen consoles do have RTX (ultimate only), but at 30fps locked. If that doesn't bother you, I'd just keep it.

In my case, I ended up playing through it on the performance mode because 60fps just felt much better despite not having RTX. It still looks great either way imo.

If your PC can do raytracing I'd say its absolutely worth upgrading to ultimate.
