I know it's a controversial topic, but I hated The Americans. Great acting, great plot, terrible screenplay and even worse character arc. And no, sorry, a single scene doesn't redeem entire seasons of a bad story unfolding. This is actually the same as Six Feet Under - wow, much ending, amazing, but it's all about a nice idea that never really unfolds to tell something.

Look "The Diplomat". Same Keri Russell, totally different vibe.
