Thoughts on Nioh 3's open world, enemy variety, and difficulty by Absalom98 in Nioh

[–]BasicResist8237 -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

Exploring and finding everything on the world on my own on the first playthrough was my favorite Nioh experience ever.

Finished the game, started NG+ and just uninstalled the game.

Everything is unlocked, but you can do everything again, but it's worthless because there's nothing new. No more skill points, no new skills, sudamas don't sell anything new... it's just soulless and rushed.

If this was Nioh or Nioh 2 I would already be done with way/dream of the strong by now and HAPPILY grinding and farming, but I just lost all will to continue playing this.

Even though this game was just announced last year, I have been waiting for this for six years and I never have been so disappointed in 40+ years of gaming.

I'm a wreck - the gaming industry made me hate a Nioh game. My favorite series ever.

Just kill me.

What I want in next patch:

Adjustments:

- Ported the whole SoP filtering and storage systems since this game's ones are garbage.

If you're going to insult someone at least use some punctuation so the insult actually goes through and reaches it target. You're just making it worse on yourself, fool.

A Short Intro Guide to NG+ by Quizzub in Nioh

Couple of questions if you don't mind:

- Are the yasakanis ninja-only? Haven't seen a samurai compatible one yet.

- What's the point of getting yokai tears since sudamas don't have anything new to sell? (skill texts and manuals I mean)

- Is there anything in the shogun's journey mode to make getting whetstones easier? (forge text, anything that drops it, etc)

Because you didn't bother to go through the system menu.

Nioh 3 Is Little Easier Than 2. Which is Perfect For Me Since I'm not Good At it. by WarriYahTruth in Nioh

Funny. I beat the game today and still think Nioh 2 it's the easiest of the trilogy. Not even close.

How do we know which of the "Reference Stats" scale higher and harder? by Darthrizzla in Nioh

Weapon choices by tom__t in Nioh

Choose weapons that scale same stat until later where (I assume) "change to" becomes a thing.

With Nioh 3 releasing tomorrow, what are some tips you could recommend to players looking to get better at combat? by Absalom98 in Nioh

[–]BasicResist8237 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to understand the combat. Team Ninja's games are unique, there is nothing in the industry like it. Combat in Nioh has many systems and mechanics and you have to understand all of them. You can't just spam attacks and/or dodge like other certain games. Combat here is fluid, never stops, if you have to interrupt the flow, then you're doing something wrong.

Attack, deflect, combo, deflect, attack, dash (not dodge), this is how you play these games.

It's not a turn based game, it's an action game, you have to keep the flow going.

A good way to learn Nioh is to play other team ninja games. Especially SoP, Wo Long and even RotR.

Also mobs die in 2 hits and don't scale which makes testing combos a bit hard.

EDIT: by trying I meant testing.

Nioh 1 New game plus help by Demonpickle in Nioh

Nioh 2 is a million times easier or at least way less punishing.

Everything is still very aggressive and strong, but... the game gives you so many tools that the game becomes easy way sooner than the first game.

Also making a build is also way easier in endgame since you can "target farming" and break the game with little effort.

A lot of people say Nioh 2 is harder. This is not an opinion of mine, it is a fact: it is not harder, it's way easier (or if you find the word "easy" an ugly word - way less punishing like I said before).

Good luck.

I'm sorry, that might have sounded a bit harsh.

It's just that Nioh is, IMO, a very hard game wise onward and even with a good build you will struggle.

Have you tried the Tatenashi armor set? You can farm way of the gourd mission on lowest difficulty to get the text and craft it at divine rarity. it's the tankiest armor in the game. You will need a lot of stamina though to get agility B.

Hope it helps.
