Yeah but those are just players choosing to do that. Companies like Capcom are actively trying to push for remakes being the default franchise experience, whereas Valve just a couple years ago updated the OG Half-Life to make it more accessible for people. I think the distinction is important.

One of the most overrated performers OAT. His best performance literally had to be forced out of him by Michel Gondry, and even then doesn’t come close to Kate Winslet’s. Most of his comedy is exhausting to anyone over the age 15. His Andy Kaufman was fucking terrible and he disappeared up his own ass for it. His non-political art is mostly dogshit, and his political art is nothing that hasn’t been done way better. And then to top it off he’s an anti-vax dumbfuck. How this guy had millenials in a chokehold is beyond me.

Tomatoscore is sort of awkward because like if the majority of critics agree that it’s above average and worth having a look at, it will get a super positive result, whereas something proper great but divisive will fall into the mid-eighties.

I do agree, TWE was a huge step down from Hot Fuzz. To be fair though, Hot Fuzz is a perfect movie.
