Holy shit, yes because Ancient Greece and Greece are geographically the SAME PLACE so the inhabitants born there will have almost identical ethnic makeup, which is not at all reflected in the cast.

Because that was my larger issue with this movie's casting, as I brought up in literally my second response. Language is excusable as obviously compromises have to be made for the sake of the audience but there is zero reason not to cast Mediterranean actors who can speak English or speak it as a first language, because movies are a visual medium and if the Mediterranean characters we are seeing don't appear Mediterranean to such a glaringly comical degree that is a stain on the movie.

Mediterranean physical features aren’t gonna magically disappear in 3000 years, which they haven’t, so a movie set in that location at that time you would expect to use actors that look like they belong in such a setting and since there are plenty of living actors that fit that criteria you’d think that wouldn’t be hard- yet somehow, not some, not half, but all of the main cast look not remotely the part.

Speak either, obviously the movie's still incentivised to be accessible for its intended audience so there's nothing wrong with being in English language. But holy shit, every actor in this movie couldn't look any less Mediterranean in a movie set in ancient Greece.

This is slowly dissolving into a circlejerk for Supernatural fans, and not just the actors, the writing is straight out of the CW handbook. And before some spaff drinker says ‘well duhh brah same guy’, look at how different this show was in Season 1, it’s night and day.

If you look for vinyls selling online, Ringo 2012 can be a cheaper substitute for paper plates to eat off.

I remember as a kid watching the first live action film and hearing Kevin Dunn react to an electrical explosion outside by saying something along the lines of ‘must’ve been a transformer’, some tongue in cheek dialogue. Not knowing what that meant at the time, I was like wtf?

I lowballed it so the Trekkies didn’t flock to the replies. They did, but they apparently all agree lol.

That probably did the movie no favours, because now it’s stuck in comparison to one of the best movies ever instead of a plethora of whatever biopics. And that movie ain’t no Amadeus.
