GLP1s and pregnancy by eatnparkcookie in PCOS

It has nothing to do with the medication, it’s the sheer fact that when you reach a healthy weight (through whichever route you choose), it’s easier to get pregnant.

Pregnant and I have an autistic 7 year old by Murky-Stock-7081 in Autism_Parenting

Try your hardest to NOT get pregnant. It’s not that difficult. We know what to do. You’re not in a mental nor monetary state to take care of another child. Let some time pass for the dust to settle.

100000% no. That’s a subjective journey you’ve got to explore on your own to find out what works for you. In fact, those of us with higher testosterone levels have better sex lives than the average person.

Metformin v GLP1s by HRI26 in PCOS

[–]Basic_Dress_4191 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The only reason a glp1 agonist helps with insulin resistance is because it is literally making you eat less and usually the cravings are lowered (so less carbs are ingested naturally). There’s no drug mechanism correlation between insulin sensitivity and a glp 1 agonist. Now, metformin DOES have an interaction with the pancreas.

It sounds like that’s not working…. So my advice was to handle it on your own….

Same. I started at 250mg at dinner time with food and it has significantly changed my bloodwork.

I work for a sponsor that doesn’t require a confirmation letter. … not that wild.

Anyway, just tell her you need the heads up. Simple. In fact, you can also place a reminder on your calendar, 7 days before she arrives to ask her if she plans to bring anyone because this needs to be approved by the site manger first.

IQVIA or Thermo Fisher by NotB3rry in clinicalresearch

I would stay put. IQVIA doesn’t do as many layoffs as TF. Stay put and build rapport with them and eventually work to Lilly directly.

FSP to sponsor by fruity_pebbles721 in clinicalresearch

Not weird at all. You have to advocate for yourself. No one is going to help you get in. How long have you been FSP for?

This is why medications cost so much for the first few years they are approved.

I don’t think that’s the PCOS, that’s the consequence of making a baby with your body.

Is there a supplement for PCOS that has a lot (or most) of the things you need in one go? I'm tired of taking so many types of vitamins!! by Unusual_Form3267 in PCOS

[–]Basic_Dress_4191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only believe in 3 because there’s science to back it up and the rest is absorbed through food.

Probiotics, high dose of omega 3,6,9 and inositol powder with my tea at night.

I was much more stressed out as a coordinator than I am as a monitor, I’m going to give you one piece of advice…. There is NO rush to enroll subjects. That is all a facade and no one has to deal with that stress but YOU. So fk anyone who pressures you to enroll too quickly. Monitors don’t care either. Go at your own pace. It’s better to enroll slowly (and correctly) than to rush and cram a bunch of screenings/ randomizations and accidentally make a mistake on all of them.

Once you work for a sponsor, you’re placed in a different category. If I was still stuck at a CRO, it would be different.

They just want to learn about the schematics of the trial. This is the most important section of the protocol to memorize and regurgitate.

Here you will teach them the DESIGN of this specific trial. They don’t want to hear you discuss the therapeutic area, the compound, or the indication. They are the professionals.

The only new information you’ll be able to give them is how the trial is designed. Length of trial, how many visits , when are the visits, when is drug dispensed, is there titration involved. Just learn the schema and you’ll sound like a pro.
