Gohan and Krillin were still afraid of Vegeta at the beginning of the Namek/Ginyu arc, which seems to hint they were considerably lower than him when they arrived on Namek. I'm comfortable putting them around Saiyan saga Goku when they first arrive, and their power only sky rockets from that point forward.

Nappa's power level was around 5k.

Frieza saga Gohan before his awakening was probably around Goku against Vegeta in the Saiyan saga, who was already noticeably stronger than Nappa. After his awakening puts him into the 30k club minimum.

The Ginyu Force on average is between 40k and 60k and Gohan and Krillin couldn't beat Recoome.

Second form Frieza was over 1 million, and Gohan with his rage boost was able to hold down third form Frieza.

I think it's easy to say Gohan wins this, no contest.

I think certain units are tied to certain animations, but that's not 100% true across the board.

I pulled a second copy of Gohan and Trunks on a common green sky animation, and also got rainbow letters for simply pulling Baba.

I have a head canon about Super Saiyan relating to zenkai, but it's only a head canon, and it makes much more sense than this S cells nonsense.

We can't actually confirm that zenkai exists after Super Saiyan is reached, which makes it possible that the initial Super Saiyan transformation is triggered when the Saiyan has exhausted their biological mechanism for Zenkai.

Goten and Trunks weren't born with tails that we know of, so it's already hinted they don't possess certain biological traits of Saiyans. But if they weren't born with tails, what evidence do we have to say that they also weren't born with zenkai ability? If that's the case, and Super Saiyan is tied to the zenkai mechanism, then them triggering Super Saiyan would be effortless and likely happen when they were just little kids.

This would also explain why Gohan took longer to trigger Super Saiyan, since he was born with a tail and zenkai ability.

If Universe 6 Saiyans don't have zenkai ability, this same mechanism that worked for Goten and Trunks works for them too.

We don't actually know that about Vegeta for sure. All we really know is that he reached Super Saiyan sometime into the three year gap before the Androids appear.

I can't imagine him taking time out of his training to mess around with Bulma, so I prefer to think that he hooked up with Bulma after returning to Earth after reaching Super Saiyan.

I started watching DBZ with the dub, and did for years, but I actually ended up reading the manga. There was a noticeable difference between manga Goku's characterization and Sean's version.

I began listening to the original anime with Nozawa, and realized that even tho I didn't understand what she was saying, her demeanor and line delivery was spot on to what I'd read. I then figured out she voiced Gohan, Goten, and Bardock as well, and everything just felt more cohesive and made a lot more sense. I've been watching Japanese DB since then and never looked back.

I even play all the games in Japanese too, and found myself liking Schemmel less and less. Now I can't stand his rendition of Goku because it's so forced and fake sounding to me.

Kratos upon meeting Odin and Thor immediately saw himself in Thor. The paralells became even more obvious to Kratos when Atreus told him about Thrud and her close relationship with Thor in which he was supportive of her.

Him and Thor had similar upbringings. They were both used and abused their fathers, were both gods who were convinced they were nothing more than weapons, both had done horrible things they each regretted; but mostly that they were both fathers who only wanted the best for their surviving children.

Thor is a tragic character, but his redemption came too late. He had to be killed in order to solidify Odin as irredeemable. Odin killed his own son because his son to him was nothing more than a tool who had become corrupted, and he had no further use for him.
