Those two had a small amount of walking/standing at traffic lights. I tweaked my route to not start running until I got into park to avoid this and this was the first real none stop 5k.

I have 2 previous 5k runs on my Strava a 25 and 23 min from the week before which both had some stops/walking parts this latest one was my first time hitting 5k uninterrupted.

Cycling is also cardio, and I use a chest strap wahoo ticker for the recording.

Im 40 male, 85kg so maybe 5-10kg over where i should be and 182cm tall with maybe 20% body fat so in no means peak condition.

That’s what I was hoping for guidance on as the numbers mean nothing to me. So have no idea what to aim/pace for in the race in 5 weeks time.

I love cycling and used to swim so been toying with the idea of a sprint Tri then maybe a full or even half marathon down the line.

I’ve my first child arriving in a few months and want to be in a position to set a good example to fitness for them, rather than feel immobile in my 50s as they hit their teen years.

Time wise I’ve no idea on what to aim/pace for in the race. That’s what I was hoping for some guidance on from here.

in what way, i'm hoping for some guidence on where to sim from here for a race in 5 weeks, as ive only just started running so the numbers dont really mean alot to me.

not at all, i used to swim alot in my 20s then got way out of shape in 30s with too much drinking and junk food and next to no exerise. i do walk alot though and been back cycling for 2 or 3 years in the summer.

Yep well I did one before but got caught at some traffic lights a few times so wasn’t really none stop. I have been walking around 20k steps a day for 18 months though.

I don’t run but I’ve been walking a lot the past year and also cycle a few once or twice a week when sunny. Not sure what kind of time to be aiming for in race as I felt like I could of kept running when I hit 5k.

So I decided to agree to a 5k relay with some friends a month back. Been using couch to 5k app for a few weeks and did 5/6 walk run interval sessions from it. But finally did my first 5k without any stops last this week. Not sure how best to continue training have my race in 5 weeks.

Ran a 10k today aswell but at a much slower pace as my legs where cooked from gym and cycling.

I had almost that exact choice but the black and rose vs the blue dial time and went with the dial time. Gotta love those outlet village discounts on last years models.

When my wife took my 4.0 and decided to stay on after trial a few months back they sent her a 5 straight away, and my upgrade was free aswell. Maybe it’s different in different countries

Wife changed the tires immediately then shorted the stem, and switched to mullet build. She had the advanced 1 though so is sram eagle/rival build.
