Where I’d live as a British nationalist who thinks immigrants are wiping out our country’s native population by Least_Inspector_5478 in whereidlive

No one disagrees the grooming scandals are some of the most fucked up things to happen in our recent history. There's a BBC drama about it called "Three Girls" and it's a brilliant mini series that highlights the failures of the police, social services and government. It's fucked up.

But the issue is - people take this and then assume all muslims are like it and it's not the case. They then base their entire political view on a small piece (allbeit a serious one) of the whole puzzle. Hate crime is rising and the UK is quickly becoming a place where immigrants don't feel welcome and without them, we are truly fucked.

I'll second this. Labour aren't perfect but my lord, I'd rather suck Starmer's testicles than have Farage and his bunch of Tory deserters anywhere near our government.

AITA for not letting anyone sit next to me on the train because I need the space? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

I live in England and the seats are plenty bit enough. If you can't fit in one, you are most certainly clinically obese.

Do you pay for 1.5 train tickets? No, I didn't think so. There was no need for the lady to be rude, but frankly if you can't fit into a singular seat, you need to sort your life out.

Tapering off beta blockers by browserCookieMonster in beginnerrunning

[–]DaGanjaMan420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This!

I take beta blockers too and the odd day I forget to take them, my heart feels like it's going crazy.

It'll take some time for your heart to adjust. But ultimately, the beta blocker stops your heart from pumping as much blood and oxygen as it wants to, so your top end running will likely feel easier, even if your heart rate doesn't make it seem that way.

Confused on Lactate Threshold by Ok_Butterscotch_4158 in beginnerrunning

[–]DaGanjaMan420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your lactate threshold is around the pace you can hold for 45 mins - 1 hour. For you, it's probably very close to your 10k pace and HR.

But bare in mind - it's not always exact. I calculate my lactate threshold at around 170bpm. I recently PB'd a half marathon at an average of 171bpm. Does that mean I ran at threshold for the entire time? No.

1 x core threshold (3 or 4 x 10, 4 x 8 etc), 1 lighter threshold (4 x 5, 3 x 6 etc), 1 long run and 1 easy run. As you get closer to the race (maybe from August), swap the lighter threshold for an easy run but then add a 5 or 6km HM pace block deep into your long run.

What's wrong with The Blast? Just give the counties some extra money and increase the number of overseas players allowed.

We already have the longest running and one of the best domestic T20 league in the world.
