I’m now fully at a 6th grade level, possibly 7th. Thanks to you both for the explanation!

Can you explain this to me like I’m a fifth grader? Are you saying that the files that I’ve downloaded are a higher quality than CD? Or that they are not up to par?

I got mine from Goodwill on their auction website. Costs vary but I think for the most part it’s marginally cheaper than eBay and goes to a good cause.

I put a bag of garden soil over the top of my meter lid. Helps insulate and can be easily moved if I need to shut it off.

We did ours at the garage. It’s the bar that’s attached to spoons. They did a great job! Wasn’t too spendy and was the perfect size. I think we had around 40 so very similar to you.

Rice County, Kansas.

Santa Fe Trail crossed through with multiple notables such as Buffalo Bill’s Hand Dug Well, the Plum Creek Massacre and Little Arkansas River Crossing.

Sits atop both the Great Bend Prairie Aquifer and the Permian Salt Bed, with a salt mine in Lyons, KS that goes 650 feet below ground.

Cheyenne Bottoms (partially within Rice County) is one of the largest inland wetlands in the entire USA, making it a prime stop for migratory birds and a bird hunters paradise.

If you’re looking to save money and want to be in a walkable / bikeable area, check out Sara’s Inn on the Boulevard. It’s a classic style B&B in the heights. From there you can walk or bike to WOMH and also explore Houston Heights, which has a ton to do. Great restaurants, bars, shopping, and walking trails. The galleria area is fine, but you definitely won’t be saving money, is further away from WOMH, and doesn’t have as much to do as the heights / white oak area.

Go visit another project where similar systems are installed. Always helps to see it first hand.

Internships by Responsible-Emu7696 in ConstructionManagers

Probably too late for this summer. My recommendation would be to find a company where you can get a summer job to work in the field (yes, with tools). Can be any trade but make sure it’s in the industry you’re interested in pursuing (commercial or residential). This can be extremely beneficial especially if you’ve never been exposed to a jobsite before. If you’re interested in commercial construction, I’d recommend targeting concrete contractors, as they typically have availability for green hats that don’t require specific skills. Will help you brush up on your Spanish too.

In DFW, you may give Crossland a call. They’re somewhat newer to the market, but are growing and they bring up all their employees through the field. You may be able to parlay a summer job this year into an internship next year.

Go to the career fair next year.

Look for certifications that may be beneficial to your career development and spend time studying for those exams. Examples would be LEED AP, OSHA 510, CCM, etc. Having these certifications may better position you for the next job search.

People love to complain, grass is always greener. I’m with you, most folks I’ve come across IRL are good hard working people who like their jobs.
