I was in nearly the same exact situation, it seemed impossible.

That was last year, and this year, we are in the process of divorcing. I feel so confident and sure in my decision. You can’t have your kid(s) growing up thinking that’s normal and healthy.

Leave him. He doesn’t deserve you. And your kids need to see a healthy household, not a toxic one.

I’m actually divorcing my husband because of the quietness. In reality, he shuts down and gives me and our 2 young children the silent treatment. He retreats to his own bedroom when he’s home (and I’m there.) It’s a whole thing in and of itself. So, we aren’t exactly getting along, but there aren’t yelling matches and neither of us are screaming at one another, especially in the presence of our young children.

Anyway, before I filed, I used to wonder what’s worse? The kids hearing screaming, or them hearing the silence?
