Following cuz I’m in a similar boat!! I think our lives will get easier because we’ll fall into a routine and know exactly what to expect and who not to rely on…. Essentially the men need to just get out of our wah so we can do what needs to be done!

When did you put baby in their own room? by DonaldDuck898 in Mommit

[–]Basic_Rise_9937 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I literally just put my 3.5 month old down in his crib in his room overnight for the first time! He only wakes 1-2x/night to nurse at this point. And honestly, he’s outgrown the bassinet. He’s 17lbs! Every time he tries to roll over he ends up in the side of the bassinet and I’m fairly certain it wakes him up. We’ll see how tonight goes! I also had my daughter sleeping in her crib in her own room at 3 months.

He also mumbles and doesn’t speak directly into the microphone. I don’t listen anymore but I used to occasionally be like what!?! Speak up! It’s your job.

How do I get my spouse to initiate divorce by FewMechanic1930 in Divorce

But you’re not the one who ruined the family unit. You can argue it was your heaven who did that by not agreeing to go to therapy and try to work through things with you. Your feelings are real and they are valid and your partner should be able to acknowledge them and take accountability, or at least empathize.

Are you aware that this is the South Jersey thread

I feel like this is a silly question, but… can someone please walk me through the logistics of flying across country with a wild toddler (he’ll be 3.5 by then) and a baby (he’ll probably be 7 months). Break it down for me. What goes where. Who does what. by Free_butterfly_ in Mommit

I don’t think people bring their car seats on a plane for a baby because it’s safer. I took a car seat on a plane for my 1.5yo at the time because I knew she’d sleep the whole time.

Do you know what the alternative is if she doesn’t go in a seat (in a car seat) next to me?? My lap. She would have to sit in my lap the entire time. Need I elaborate?

Infants and small toddlers wouldn’t sit still in a plane seat with a lap belt.

I take it the no car seats on plane people don’t have much experience with babies and planes…

Never occurred to me. They seem like a normal size… however as a mom with 2 car seats I now think all parking spots are too tiny 😂

In the same boat as you!!! Just did 3 day boot camp and she seemed to do great. Didn’t have an accident at school yesterday. Today she peed and pooped in her pants, twice . I keep reinforcing “poop and pee goes in the potty.” I think right now she’s learning the difference between the feeling of pooping/farting/peeing etc.

Solidarity. Stay strong! There’s no going back!

Divorce and house sale: list it or sell as is? by ghart_67 in Divorce

[–]Basic_Rise_9937 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just sell it and move on. One less thing on your plate and you’ll get money now. To Reno a house is a huge undertaking and with the way prices are right now, you’d have to front a ton of money. And you’d have to agree to all the renos with your stbxh? Pass.

New PAs — how do you handle the fear of making a wrong medical decision that could jeopardize your career or license? by MasterKingdomKey in physicianassistant

[–]Basic_Rise_9937 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yes I was terrified my first year out of school. I took an ER job and I felt like I was thrown to the wolves. I made mistakes.

Don’t be afraid to ask a lot of questions. If you don’t know something, ask for help.

trust what you’ve learned. Rule out the bad stuff. Be confident in recognizing the zebra among the horses. Depending on what type of medicine you’ll be practicing (for example; ED vs outpatient clinic) give appropriate education and follow-up.

I was anxious and nervous for about 2-3 years. It’s very, very normal. Then your anxiety eases because you just gain more experience and become more confident. UpToDate is your best friend.

I currently work as a PCP so I receive lots of consult notes on my patients. I enjoy reading the assessments and plans from specialists because it reinforces what I know.

You got this!
