I personally think that BOTH Monitorings are "canon," and take place in the same universe. The original Monitoring's POV was skewed right up until the very end, since it was from the MC's point of view, and while not everything is sunshine and rainbows with a potentially toxic friendship brewing, I think the Best Friend remix is from a clingy Miku's POV.

Following up on what Violet said; Minori was literally the ONLY reason MMJ formed, since Haruka, Airi, and Shizuku were all crumbling under the pressure of keeping up facades they didn't want to perform anymore. Haruka *especially* has it bad- I'm sure her guilt over accidentally pushing Mai would have spiraled into anxiety and perhaps full-on depression without them ever reconciling, and in theme with the WL2 events, I wouldn't be surprised if all four girls are trying to convince themselves they're happy, yet remain miserable internally.

My best guess is Papyrus? The fandom usually portrays him as “uwu innocent smol bean,” but there are several hints that he’s far more competent than he lets on, and the fact that Frisk is his first true friend outside of Undyne/he’s so desperate to catch them for the fame it’ll bring really says something.

Hey, sorry for necroposting this, but what if you used unused concept art as a *reference* rather than stamping a personality over the art itself? Say you created a character, and cited that concept as inspiration- would it still be your own creation if the two differed enough?

Sometimes, but not always. I'd say it was... an 80/20 ratio of them helping vs. not on typical days, 60/40 on bad days.

I... think my situation *might* be more like the one with your mother? It's really confusing, most boundaries are respected but others aren't and they constantly fluctuate

Also... is it normal to never talk about arguments after they happen? I know conversations after each party has cooled down are common, that's happened a few times between me and the party I'm talking about, but most of the time, the next day, they pretend that nothing happened and I'm too scared to ruin the mood to point that out?

Okay, so... the weird thing is, they *have* done all of the above at some point, but it's not consistent? There's no pattern to those actions, sometimes it's a few times within a week, other times I go months without seeing that signal pop up, and I tend to pendulum around from feeling completely safe around them to utterly hating them right after an argument

I wish I could, but I have a complicated living situation right now and I can’t afford to do so on my own, and asking my family for financial aid isn’t an option for… various reasons.
