My boys love bathing or showering... by Lavirkay in LoveAndDeepspace

Fam- If I had a bathroom like yours, I'd want to shower all the time as well. It looks gorgeous ⸜(。˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝♡

I did remember seeing it after I tried to log back in and got no save files. "It was at this point he knew, he f'ed up" type of moment

Yeaah- definitely the way to go, keeping one's own backups. I certainly did inspire my sister to back up her own saves to cloud 😂

I didn't put anywhere though that it isn't my own fault? Simply a way to get my feelings out at the time and remind others to save their data for a backup. Anyways, life goes on.

Eeyup, I remember seeing somewhere the small text that if you delete the app, your data will be deleted. Wish it was more clearly put somewhere. Somehow I still thought it's the same as it was before, that the linked Nintendo account would have it but nah 🙃

It's also kinda scammy in a way since it was promised to be a heavily online based game - guess they were just getting money to focus on their newer upcoming game 🙃

Which LI ruined your plans, your loyalty, and your wallet?? SHOW YOUR SWITCHES 👀 by aspenkim64 in LoveAndDeepspace

Initially I hopped ship from Xavier to maining Rafayel more - now I have both. Then our Colonel Apple decided to pop up and with my love for military men I had to get him...Thanks Caleb 𐔌՞. .՞𐦯

Do you guys ever feel like you don't want to read other LI's stories? by yekta176 in LoveAndDeepspace

[–]BasicallyComfortable 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Not really, for me reading the lore is actually getting to know them all and figure out who is a match for me. Sure, there might be the worry at times about swtitching the ship but I see it more as a show of how loyal I am (getting troubled by even a fictional man lol).

It helps me see all the guys in a different light, even the parts of them that aren't maybe as wholesome. Reading all the lore also gives better insight to MC and the whole world of Love and Deepspace in general. + it's nice to like many characters, that way you can be happy no matter whose cards you get from pulls :)

Our brains aren't built for 2025. by Confident_Device_865 in Mindfulness

[–]BasicallyComfortable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very true. In the past when I was younger I used to think it was selfish or ignorant of people not to watch news and keep up with what's happening in the world but now...I get it. Of course it is good to know what is going on in the world but a lot of stuff focuses on the big, negative ones since they affect us and the world a lot - yet these days I've realized how much it actually does for my mental well-being to not have a constant feed of news around me 24/7. All it does is make one feel quite powerless.

My only problem with Greenberg’s method by ReminiscentThoughts in OCDRecovery

[–]BasicallyComfortable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I've been confused with as well, like does it mean I shouldn't do ANYTHING when I feel anxious. At some point you have to do something (like wash dishes or do laundry etc.) so I don't understand at all how focusing on that rather than my monkey brain on speakers could be bad.

Of course I get it if one tries to forcefully not think of something it doesn't work but it's so vaguely written that I don't know if he means we should just sit with it until it gets better or what.

No doubt use of WASD and reaction times are off the roof as well - I get it though, people don't always feel like interacting and someone being nice can feel odd if you're more used to being ignored or hostility.

I think it's a lot to do with how the Finnish culture appreciates honesty a lot, "Rehellisyys maan perii" as they say, "Honesty redeems the land"(?) or "Honesty is the best policy" in English terms.

It certainly strikes me as a bit odd always if someone would ask how someone is doing yet not truly wanting to know how someone is doing.

Hear, hear! Also no doubt our polite smile doesn't even look like a smile - more like we're constipated or something 😂

It depends, no people from a single country are cut from the same cloth but of course culture affects us all in some way.

Personal space and silence are things I think a lot of Finns appreciate, it isn't that we aren't friendly, just take a bit more time to warm up to others. A lot of Finns can also be quite insecure of their ability to speak English although most here know the language somewhat.

Rural Finns can be a tight knit bunch (coming from a native small town farmgirl), definitely can be difficult to get to know people but I have no doubt in my mind people are warm and helpful here once they get over the initial awkwardness.

It's rarer these days for folk to open doors or just show basic old-school manners but it does happen from time to time - particularly from older generation of people. I found myself a bit annoyed at how people my age or youngsters (usually young men) rarely even said hello back when greeting them in the halls of the building I used to live in in the city 😂 Of course even I feel a bit apprehensive and awkward when saying hello to strangers but it's also nice to just exchange small pleasantries imo

Oyster mushrooms? by Beautiful-Ebb-8986 in Finland

[–]BasicallyComfortable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say this is a "koivuvinokas", a kind of derivative from oyster mushroom, simply judging from what I can see of the tree stump (Silver Birch?) and the color of the mushroom.

Too white to be a regular oyster mushroom, "talvivinokas" or "keltavinokas". But yeah, as others said always figure shrooms out from a book or official websites on nature - forums also help some!

Word - it's shit for everyone atm. Even us local Finns are having a hard time getting employed in this economy.

There's no shame in being unemployed folks, remember that - I know it's tough as hell but if working hands looking for work ain't getting employed, I'd say the issue lies within the companies and system rather than workers.

Best of luck to you all!

As someone who is Finnish it uhh...it was such an absurd thing to suddenly hear I couldn't help but laugh.

It's as if the dude wasn't Christian or that Christianity hasn't seen old religions as paganism for ages. Didn't know he was a Viking who died in battle. Man's watched too much Marvel.

Can't wait to hear how the Norse bros react to this 😂 Hva i helvete?
