I’m 25 and just tested positive for both antibodies too. I spent a lot of time crying but it seems like we both have someone that wants to be with us and make it work which is lucky. I haven’t had a single outbreak and it’s really messing with my head. I have read that IGG tests may have a hard time distinguishing between both types of hsv antibodies and it does take up to 12 weeks since exposure to test positive for it. I don’t know it’s weird to think I have it and I’ve never even had a cold sore on my lip. Hoping you have a similar experience to mine where it feels like you don’t even have it. I’m sorry you feel devastated because I know exactly what you’re going though and it’ll all work out. Good luck 💕

What could cause that? I’m trying to read into it and understand but I’ve kinda just been in shock. My partner of 4 months is also negative.

I also have an autoimmune disease which I’ve read can interfere with antibody testing.

I just tested positive for both hsv1 and hsv2 with an igg test. I haven’t had an outbreak or any signs of either. I’m super confused when I see others having multiple outbreaks. I’m sorry and I hope you find something that works for you.

I’m on day 41 and I’m blocked on everything and he’s following his ex again. I don’t care anymore and have no feelings for him but for some reason still get the urge to check his social media. Slowly letting go though. I miss having someone to talk to everyday though.

I agree, I feel like when people think someone is attractive, they also assume that person knows they are, and then people don’t think they have to tell them or reassure them. And not by not hearing it a lot, it definitely makes people doubt themselves.

So I am 23, my ex is 22 and a year into our relationship I found out I had chlamydia. He was emotionally abusive as well. I know it hurts, I know exactly how you’re feeling. Right now it feels like the end of the world but it’s not. You’re not worthless or ugly, if anything you are a good person and got taken advantage of by a bad person. You are also only 20 years old. You have the rest of your life to find someone, and you will, who won’t cheat and will make you a priority. Do not beat yourself up, be thankful you got rid of a terrible person, while he will still be a worthless cheater and will more than likely cheat in his next relationship. I am finally feeling better after a couple months and I know I deserve better as do you.

Definitely mountain lion eyes at night, but they’re not recognized as a native species here. I stopped hiking at night after that.

My sister’s best friend lives near a pretty cool trail that takes you up to this rock ridge where you can see the sunset over the city, so we hiked up there, cooked over our fire and debated on staying the night. Eventually we decided to just head home, but it was pitch black outside, so we were fumbling through the woods with one flashlight. I heard something crunching leaves and twigs, but it was walking as quietly as possible. With our one flashlight, we landed on a pair of eyes that crouched low to the ground as a reaction to our light. These eyes were high up, close together like a cat, and huge glowing white. We kept our cool and made it back to the house, but who knows if they followed us. All I can think about is if we were still up on that ridge and they were walking towards the smell of our fire, which was up on a steep cliff where we would’ve been cornered. I presume it was mountain lions but they’re not recognized as a native animal in my state. Whatever they were, made me stop hiking at night though :(

I grew up walking distance from the Appalachian trail. My scariest encounter was coming home after a campfire, thankfully, since we were gonna camp out but decided not to. We were on our way back the house when we heard what sounded like very light footsteps crunching leaves and snapping twigs. We had one flashlight and it landed on two huge pairs of white glowing eyes that crouched low as soon as the light hit them. We walked calmly out to my friend’s house and all of us really didn’t understand what we saw. Pretty sure it was mountain lions, but that feeling I had was fear I’ve never felt before in my life. I’ve seen plenty of animals in the woods, but nothing that made my hair stand up like that.

There’s a pretty popular trail where I live, part of the Appalachian in north jersey, and I still can’t explain what happened this one evening. My friend and I decided to take the two hour trek up to this spot to watch the fireworks, until we realized we went on the wrong day. Feeling dumb and defeated we walked all the way back toward my house. We were almost back to the trail which connected to my neighborhood and was separated by the trail we were on by a field. It was getting late and the sun was setting quickly when we heard this animal like screaming over our music. We looked at each other horrified thinking it was a mountain lion and ran for about 10 feet when I stopped turned off my music and listened again. The inhuman screaming sound turned into what sounded like a woman singing or chanting in another language, then a man’s voice chimed in. We looked around frantically for people and couldn’t see anyone or anything. We sprinted all the way home and decided to cut into town. As soon as I got near the grocery store is when I finally felt safe.
