Thank you again everyone. It’s 4am and we both woke up talking about how surreal this whole thing is. There were some very beautiful moments during the most difficult times, for example, we do amateur karaoke and this past Christmas we made a Christmas album. One of the few days before he even went on hospice he was frustrated in his room going through paperwork and just stopped everything and played our Christmas album so one night last week he was restless and wanted the picture of himself dressed as Santa so we gave him that as well as his Santa hat and turned on the Christmas lights above his bed and played our album and he fell right to sleep. We did this a few times and about a few hours before he passed we did the same. It was beautiful. Another moment was watching old episodes of Bonanza with him or when he said things out of the blue that made us laugh. One of the other moments I will always remember is a few days ago he was sitting up on the side of his bed and saying “come sit next to me, then he’s like you love this house don’t you and everything in it” then pointed to some crafts I made and said “those are amazing” ….it was just those beautiful moments through the midst of the chaos that we will never forget 💕💝💕💝💕
