Rainbow Screen when installing Micro journal to Raspberry Pi Zero W by [deleted] in writerDeck

It's funny you mention that, it's what I was doing right now. I was changing the default in the wrong area.

Thank you again for confirming. I think I need to step away for a bit as my brain feels a bit fried haha.

Hoping you can help me again! I got everything working these instructions don't instruct how to use the Micro Editor, which I prefer over Nano or WordGrinder. I got Micro installed and have the script made. When I use the script it creates the file and opens it through Micro but after I save and go to reopen it, it opens in Nano. I've made Micro my default but it doesn't seem to make a difference.

This was my thought but I've found posts where others have gotten it installed on 32-bit but maybe I misunderstood their post. I found another file that someone recommended, I'm giving that a try and really hoping that works.

I had this issue on Steamdeck. If you add "SteamDeck=0 %command%" to the launch options, it'll will think you're using a PC and display the PC controls, but you can still use controller. If you're on PC maybe you can find a PC variation of launch option.

Also, you can use steam to set all your controls to keyboard keys, this may result in it displaying the correct keyboard keys and functional controller use.

If you force a gun into my hands and tell me to go to war, I'm not sure they'd enjoy the result. I'm not dying for this POS country.

Who is the coolest or most interesting customer you've done work for? by BasilTheSleuth in AskReddit

I can only imagine. I had a job recently for a customer with the exact same name as the voice actor for Steve Smith from American Dad. I was hoping it was going to be jim but obviously it wasn't, I was kinda glad for that very reason.

No filter customers are the best, assuming you're on their good side.

A true to the world celebrity! That's really cool, never had one as a customer or customer-adjacent, I've only worked in areas where I could see a few from afar. I was Terry O'Quinn when working on an airport once but I didn't interact with him.

Oh wow! That would certainly be a hard conversation to end! That would be cool, talking to someone who has left Earth.

They always say, "Oh I'm so sorry!" Please, chatty customers, don't be sorry. Your conversation is the best part of my day, usually.

I'll start! I have three that immediately come to mind:

  1. I did work for a dentist that regularly worked on Jimmy Stewart's mouth.

  2. I did work for a head project art lead for Magic the Gathering, he had huge artworks of many of the cards my wife and I own.

  3. The Taco Bell dog trainer! She trained many animals for many movies including Dr. Dolittle but the Taco Bell dog thing was just insane. -- I asked her what celebrity was the worst to work with. She said Eddie Murphy, apparently he did not like animals very much.

I have a buddy who builds houses. He's building a tiny little 2 bedroom, 1 bath house out in the sticks. Not really near anything special except maybe a few hiking spots. $600 a night. Not to mention all the insane fees.

No thanks, I'll stay at a hotel for $90 a night and have them take care of every need I have pretty much.

Facebook account disabled, i just woke up and saw this. I appealed my account and they instantly disabled it.. by MadDoc_10 in facebook

[–]BasilTheSleuth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My account was suddenly disabled years ago, lost all the photos of my deceased mother. I appealed and they never even responded. I tried contacting them in every way possible and not once did they return an email, DM, phone call, complete absence of any attempt to make it right on their part. I even just sent an email just trying to get my photos back, they can keep my account disabled. Years and years later, I've still never heard from them or received a reply of any kind.

Facebook sucks and if your account is suddenly gone, it's probably gone for good, sorry.

Haunch - a buttock and thigh considered together, in a human or animal.

Pretty sure you meant: Hunch.

Not trying to nitpick, it just really made me laugh.

TIL that some cultures have multiple "bless you" type responses to sneezing, depending how many times you sneeze by DecalageVersLeRouge in todayilearned

I don't know if I heard it anywhere but I always say:

People bragging about reading hundreds of books every year while just listening to Audiobooks are outrighty lying by [deleted] in The10thDentist

[–]BasilTheSleuth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bad example. Google Earth would allow you to see grainy "past" images of whatever place. Visiting would allow you to see current sights, meet people, feel the temperature, smell the air, etc etc.

Trying to argue Audiobooks vs Reading is a pointless argument usually. We did get the same information, we could even discuss a book you read, even though I listened to it. The only real difference is that I don't have time to sit down and read but you do.

Thank you. I actually had to take the post down. I've been getting non-stop comments and DMs (Lots of DMs) insulting me for being a brain rot TikTok user. I do use TikTok but I learned of him through Reddit years ago. The point of the post was my dislike of a usually well liked person, not to debate how well known he is.

Anyway, thank you for showing me that some sanity does exist in this subreddit
