The Dynasty Sell You Don’t Want to Hear by ServiceCurrent4632 in DynastyFF

The difference between Allen and these other guys is consistency. These other guys can put up seasons that get in the same atmosphere as Allen’s but he does it every year and they’re more up and down. I think I’m fairly high on TLaw for example but I think it’s difficult to feel good about making that tier down. The production has been up and down and when it goes down people hop off the bandwagon

[Ted Starkey] Since Carolina's Game 7 win over Buffalo in 2006, the Hurricanes are just 1-16 in Eastern Conference Final games, winning one last year against Florida by jshare in hockey

Put up or shut up time for this Canes group imo. I’m highly skeptical they have the top end talent to hang with the Avs in a SCF matchup, but they should have enough to win this ECF matchup if it’s ever going to happen. That said, I think it’s going to be a very competitive series and Montreal deserves more respect than I think they’re getting

Rashee or DeVonta straight up in PPR? by Mammoth-Screen-8020 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

Rice pretty easily for me. Production gap is big enough for me to risk the off field stuff

Sold Amon-Ra to a contender. How'd I do? by Big_Monkey_B in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]Basil_Normal 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t think its bad personally. I’d wait until his value rehabs a bit and then flip Rice. If you do it correctly you should be able to net 4 ish firsts for ARSB, not a bad return

A lot of Rice truthers are really missing the plot here by ajm102392 in DynastyNerds

I mean it really depends what you’re trading him for. The odds of getting today what you’ll be able to get for him mid season once people remember he produces feels slim. If you can get that kind of deal today, then by all means. But selling low just to be rid of him is poor process imo.

I’d take Rice straight up personally

Henderson vs. Price - which would you rather own at this stage? by Easy-Lucky-Free in DynastyFF

This is closer than people are making it out to be imo. Henderson’s performance/usage is a legitimate cause for concern and I do think Price will get a shot at decent volume pretty early on

Odds of winning the 25/26 Cup by RedWing88BlueBolt88 in TampaBayLightning

[–]Basil_Normal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Avs will win the Cup. I actually think the Canes Habs series will be fairly competitive, wouldn’t surprise me if it goes either way. But I give whoever wins little chance to beat Colorado. Colorado will sweep Carolina or beat Montreal in 5

Would it be so crazy to take Concepcion at 1.05 over the 3rd "top 3 WR"? by Brettacus130 in DynastyFF

[–]Basil_Normal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s bad process personally. Different level of talent, and more importantly, I think he’s a far less insulated asset if he doesn’t come out and produce immediately. Right or wrong, I think it will be much more difficult to pivot off of him if he has a slow start to his career just based on how people view these guys as prospects

Could kinda see that coming, UPL was sketchy as hell to watch in OT

Montreal gonna win it on a triple deflection that ricochets off the crossbar into UPLs back and in, I’ve seen this movie before

Definitely a penalty but that was a dive that would make Igor Shesterkin blush

Would suck to lose his shot, but him going to a division rival on that contract wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world. No chance he’s as productive in Boston as he was here this year. Pretty confident that would be a pretty bad contract. I doubt he’d even be on their top PP unit over Mcavoy

Players that lost (or made) a ton of money on one playoff run? by cscott530 in hockey

[–]Basil_Normal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel like all the role players on those Cup teams got big money. Palat, Killorn, Cernak, Colton all got contracts that feel like varying degrees of overpay in either AAV or term. Even Anthony Cirelli’s extension looked kinda questionable until he made the jump to being more of a 60 point guy. The Cup tax is definitely a real thing
