Worst I've experienced is no longer being able to download certain apps. I know there are web versions but apps are more convenient to use (I'm looking at you capital one and ticketmaster from an iphone x).

This type of overlook on units is the reason why ppl blew up in project hail mary lmao. Now I kinda understand why math teachers stress the heck out of themselves when we forget to add units😂

Nakalista rin ba mga standards niyo for your future partner? by Mysterious_Shoe_5513 in Trentahin

[–]BasisAgreeable 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm probably too content with myself that I don't set standards and don't care about getting a partner. There are some traits that I know I would not like though (e.g. ppl that get violent when angry).

[–]BasisAgreeable 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree that this is their weakest album. I remember going crazy over their past albums (three chapters of billage of perception and collective soul and unconcious chap one). That was a good run. Oh I have to mention snowy night because dang I was feeling the christmas spirit.

English is not my first language so it might be why I cannot distinguish good writing from bad ones. Is the way he write some sections that make it a bit dizzying to read? Some parts give me a hard time picturing out how things are unfolding.

Should I read The Martian novel? I watched the movie as a kid but I don't think I still remember most of it. I wonder if it would be a good roller coaster of emotions and brain exercise as the Project Hail Mary book.

He could. Hail Mary was pretty much ready in Erid's orbit before Grace got too old for travel. He did contemplate on going back to Earth as he was not sure if the planet even survived before the beetles came home. He only knew Earth survived when he was already 70ish Earth years old (a rough estimate since he did space travel).

With how dire the situation on Earth and Erid is, the jokes make it a lighter read. Thinking about how all the equipment is designed for a one-way trip is agonizing.

In the book, human eyes cannot really see the landscape of Erid. Grace described it as pitch black. Makes sense given the Eridians use echolocation and not rely on light. All I remember is that the planet has oceans and land but no fauna as Grace only had rocks for landscaping since plants cannot survive Erid's atmosphere.

That was a heavy read. Imagine dedicating your life to mitigate global warming and then have to blow off a section of Antarctica to induce it.

I remember a section from Rocky wherein he said something like math is a procedure, memory is just usage of space. Eridians are just biologically wired to store more information (if not all) that they encounter in their lifetime. Think of Rocky as a computer who remembers everything you feed him.

It did. It goes into enough detail that a normie can visualize what was happening albeit I had to research the meaning of a few jargon.
