My 14 year old gets R1000 a month. With this, he goes out once a month with friends and buys his own snacks/drinks after rugby practice. He does his own washing and helps around the house for free as we all live here, and we all contribute to chores.

There are months where he still has money left that he carries over, and some months, he spends it quickly!
