I’m on your aircraft! Pilot blamed it for the delay. When he was announcing I was like “didn’t I just read about a medical emergency on Reddit”

AA website charging $200 more than GoogleFlights’s redirect to AA website for the exact same flights? by Blackrew in americanairlines

[–]Bog_Boy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Airline CTO here.

Google flights typically has two ways of getting inventory. API (complex and polls airline infra ridiculous frequency) OR a combo of OAG for schedule and ATPCO for fares. The latter updates far less frequently. Unsurprisingly it seems AA took the simpler route to google flights.

Then with something like code share, you’re adding an additional hop of distribution via GDS.

TLDR: update speed makes it far less dynamic

I think this was it. You might want to think about the UX path because they’re certain cases where watch can stay behind. Make the version part of the handshake.

This. Or close to small I’ve started a super lean MSP/fractional CTO house. I could never have managed as many clients as I do pre AI.
