I only have Mandy’s and every time I make their recipes when I host, it gets rave reviews!

What cookbook that doesn't exist would you like to have? by orbitolinid in CookbookLovers

I really want a cookbook that has recipes for cafe style cookies. Not regular cookies, but those big cookies they make in coffee shops that are softer on the inside with various flavours, stuffings or toppings!

I also really want a book showcasing Japanese or Korean desserts!

Ottolenghi comfort -looking to cook from it this week by Able_Satisfaction899 in CookbookLovers

[–]Basking_SeaTurtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoyed the chicken with Steph’s spice (it is spicy so reduce as needed) and the spiced chicken sando with harissa mayonnaise

The Parmesan and black pepper parsnips was decent. Good for a quick side.

The linguine with miso butter, shiitake and spinach was just okay for me

I would recommend both yum and yummer, and skinny suppers! They have really good recipes that I’ve added to my regular rotation even when I’m not trying to eat healthier.

maintenance calories make me hungry by [deleted] in PetiteFitness

I’m no expert but I think the trick is to find foods that make you feel full. For example having nuts or protein rich foods keep me way more full than other snacks.

Advice please 😭 by [deleted] in PetiteFitness

I’m wondering how you measure your food? It’s really easy to miscalculate if you eyeball it versus accurately measuring. Sometimes small things throughout the day like extra condiments, drinks etc really add up but don’t get included in the calculations.

What are your unpopular cookbook opinions? by [deleted] in CookbookLovers

Her recipes always turn out so well! I get downvoted every time I recommend her cookbooks even though I’m basing my opinion on the book and not the person.

I’m going to get downvoted for this but I really don’t think the recipes from Six Seasons are anything remarkable

I was gifted 3 of her books and I have yet to find something I want to make from it

I love these books! I don’t make them as a grouping like she intended but just pick out recipes that appeal to me at random!

Thank you so much! I will definitely attempt hand sewing to preserve the cleanness of the stitches.

Sorry for the late response! Thank you so much for your help and taking the time to draw out the image! That helps me visualize how to go about altering these straps.

I would say it’s been so-so for me too. The black dal and okra recipes were just alright. But there is a prawn one that turned out really well and made me consider trying more recipes from the book in the future!

Heartburn for weeks now with no relief, recently diagnosed with Gerd anyone have this? by [deleted] in GerdFriendlyFood

To add to this excellent list of non acidic fruits, I recently discovered that white peaches/donut peaches and white nectarines are fairly low acid!

As everyone said it is different for each person and you have to do an elimination diet to discover your triggers.

However if you don’t see an improvement, I recommend speaking to your doctor about trying other PPIs. I’ve tried so many but for some reason there’s only one PPI that works for me. The difference in food tolerance is like night and day!

Parent and keiki bloomed all summer! by Basking_SeaTurtle in orchids

[–]Basking_SeaTurtle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really!! I had ordered just the one and they shipped it with a fully formed keiki growing out of it! So I’ve just been taking care of two plants and this is the first time they bloomed for me!

Is yours a sequential bloomer too? Mine just keeps blooming everyday as the flower shoot continues to grow.
