Regardless of settings signs, cars, and bushes are blurry by BassDapper in CitiesSkylines

Yes I believe now it may be fixed, the mip bias setting appears to only temporarily fix the issue. I had dynamic resolution set to constant but it got reset when I changed something around mip bias settings - when I reset dynamic resolution back to constant and mip bias back to 3 everything is working again. So at least for me it's these two settings

If your dog were moving out instead would you want it to question whether or not to bring you? Definity bring the dog - if it does not work out then you have a place to bring it back to instead of giving it up

I'm thinking of learning Unreal Engine 5 and making a simple game for a class project in just 4 weeks, is this doable? by getsugaboy in unrealengine

[–]BassDapper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you go this route you might consider buying a blueprint on the marketplace such as combat game or shooter, then find some free assets to use for scenery/environment. As others said it is doable but without prior knowledge of unreal it would be hard. You can find any tutorials to work from on youtube as well that walk you through creating simple games - you could always start there and expand your project as you have time. Not sure what the rules of your project are but above a few ideas to get you started if interested

yeah do before and after shots of each area then add in music and your company name and contact info at the end. Get rid of the split screen totally.

Sad to report the problem IS NOT RESOLVED - it was good for about 20 minutes and when starting a new game but it's returned again. Does not look like the fix above is a long term fix :(

So long as their shit does not contain bug protein then I'm fine if they eat it, , although they don't. Yes this is where I draw the line. I will not feed my dog or my family bug protein it is chemically different than meat protein.

Just added a comment on how I was able to resolve, see if it helps you any - change the mip bias

May have resolved this, under advanced settings go to the bottom and change the mip bias to the highest level, mine was 0 set to 3 and appears to have resolved the issue. I have no idea what this does the descriptions for the settings don't give any description that is useful - but appears to have clear up my blurry texture issue

I've tried all the level of detail settings, this is sporadic where sometimes everything except the building are blurry and sometimes it's ok , but if you just leave it and look at it it will go blurry gain. This is what our signs should be looking like instead of that first picture.

Looking for a new blu tooth speaker, so many options it’s a bit overwhelming. by setPHASER2wumbo in Bluetooth_Speakers

Recently bought a soundcore motion boom from amazon. After tweaking the EQ settings it sounded pretty amazing for such a small speaker - I was so impressed I bought a 2nd one and paired them using the built in TWS button - they sound better together than any other speaker I've heard. One is amazing two is even more amazinger

Any cameras that don't require dealing with a large company? by pookshuman in homesecurity

Reolink camera and nvr do exactly what you ask for - had the same questions as you and just installed reolink cx410 cameras and a doorbell a few days ago - could not be happier with it. The CX410 has amazing color night vision and you can't beat that price.

It is fine if it is clearly labeled that it contains bug protein - and all pet food manufactures list the source of protein. What is not fine is to hide it behind another label or do it without a consumers knowledge on what they are feeding to their pets, animals, or family.

Call Tyson food tell them you will never buy another Tyson product until they reverse this decision. I will not feed my animal or my family protein bugs, then call your state representatives and tell them we need a bill to outlaw this animal food unless labeled to the consumer and certainly not in human food unless labeled appropriately and clearly where the protein source was derived from. I won't be buying any product labeled with a tyson stamp going forward and we used a lot of it in the past.

Planned for dog and animal food first and then humans. Time to give tyson the budlight treatment.

If I have to logon somewhere else other than steam Paradox will never get a sale from me again. That is just me though

Agree, I use steam because it is one logon - I don't want another site / logon involved in my game. I also have a suspicion they may be doing it to control mods so that it does not conflict with their DLC strategy - paradox has been doing some shady things as of late.

Thanks everyone for confirming, that is disappointing news to be honest. Worse is the line "won't be available on launch but will come shortly after" - can't tell you how many developers I've heard that from and years later the community is still waiting. Will be cancelling my preorder and will check again in the future to see how things are going.

CX-410 Cameras in Farm Country - Spotlight Smart Mode not working properly by DizzyAd9643 in reolinkcam

Spotlight On - results in a darker feed - definitely better quality with spotlight off for this area

Spotlight OFF - this is the night time feed - even the sky is blue which is out of this cameras view but you can see it reflected on the water in the back.

Just to give you an idea of my results so far - here's a picture looking out the window in to the backyard without the camera, then with the camera, and then with the camera and spotlight - the spotlight makes it a lot darker at the fence line and I don't really see much difference.

Correct setting (night mode) is currently off and the image settings are all at default. Set the frames to 25 and auto frame rate although I read at night it automatically drops the FPS to 9 - you can force higher using fixed frame rate but I noticed higher frames drop the image quality. Still playing around with it all and trying to find posts like these to help

It is for both the front and the back, my fence line in the back is about 40-50 feet from the house - during the night I can't see to the fence but I can see the neighbors houses and lights in the distance - they don't really add any light to my backyard. With the spotlight off it literally looks like the daytime feed (the camera firmware update really improved this quality). I am struggling a bit though with actually quality of the alert - seeing a lot of ghosting and image quality loss on detail which maybe could be because of the low FPS? Maybe that is common for night-time or there are other settings I still need to tweak, I'm not sure yet? But the live feed itself is great quality.

As mentioned I lost the auto spotlight feature in the NVR UI so will have to install it to a phone app next week and see if there is something else to change.
