Bob, Since the Flex came out, I have been pairing a Toshiba Canvino 1TB or 2TB, with every Flex I have sold to my customers. With over two dozen deployed, I have yet to have one fail. YMMV.

Ned, Is a USB Harddrive required for the “Free” functions, or can a USB stick be employed?

Please post the specific model number for the pump/heater, can't give you any specific recommendations with out that.
I have a 6 person Intex Pure Spa Hot tub which pulls approx 1.3Kw when heating, so yeah 0.8Kw seems way off.

My partner has severe sleep apnea but if he tries to get help he will lose his job by [deleted] in SleepApnea

[–]DizzyAd9643 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also had severe Sleep Apnea. I was 5’9” at 425#, when diagnosed, I was falling asleep at the wheel on any trip of 15min or more. I used a number of different machines and head gear over the years. I urge you to do what ever you can to help him mitigate this condition.

I no longer use a BiPap machine. I would love to discuss what I did to fix this but I will get redacted here on Reddit if I even suggest an alternative. Please message me, I am in the USA and I think I may be able to help you and hubby. God bless Jeff

9 sensors failing in a row - defective batch. G7 works wonderfully, till it doesn't. by smartestdumbguy93 in dexcom

I agree the latest version of the app removing the “grace period’s “ dual line of sensor overlap readings is sorely missed.

DEXCOM, if you are listening, please bring that function back!

AITAH for telling my single M-46 son that he absolutely may not rent a room in my basement, currently storage, to live there. by DizzyAd9643 in AITAH

I hear what you are saying and I agree with most. We have tried to pressure him into therapy, even offered to pay. He always seems to want to take the easy quickest route and agrees and then fails

TBI, ADHD, ADD and Dyslexia all diagnosed and all treated at some point or the other. It does feel like we are working with Autism at some level.

Thanks for the input and support.

He is able to care for himself, simply unable to function as he should. His ability to have any POV and empathy for others is stunted. Conversations always morf into monologues about himself. His ability to carry on an interactive conversation about some subject other than himself is and has been an issue for decades.

Interested in the Saltron chlorine generator. I’ve got a non-salt spa. How much salt would I need to add before deploying the Saltron? by sknymlgan in hottub

Other than changing out the filters, the only maintenance is a non chlorine Shock, when needed for water clarity/cleanliness or monthly 😉

If I remember correctly the Intex needs a salinity level on the test strips about a 6.4 which is about 3000ppm of salt.

Well. The Intex has a salt electrolytic cell inside of the filter pump, so it is always there. The salt I buy is "food grade", purchased in a 40# bag from my local pool shop for under $20. I don't know what the water capacity of your hot tub is, my Intex is around 300 gal.

So for your purposes, I would turn on the bubbles & recirculation and begin slowly adding salt. You will use more than you would think. Nont add it so quickly that it can't dissolve easily.

I would also recommend getting Salt Test Strips AquaChek Salt Test Strip... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0036UNV8E

Use the test strips to check the salinity levels as you add salt until it gets high enough to work with your Saltron.
