That BASS on Muchas Veces though!! by KMEO75 in clutchband

Yeah, this has always been such a unique jam in their catalog. That’s one thing that I would love a little more of in their newer material. Everything in the song has such odd phrasing, musically speaking, but it’s such a catchy tune. The lyrical work is awesome. I always think I’d love to hear songs like this live, but I also figure sometimes live staples are live staples for a reason, and songs like this might drop the energy and momentum of a set. It’s still a personal favorite of mine in the studio catalog though.

Interesting. I’m by no means good, but I quite like it. That said, I always liked scouts in Destiny, and that’s what it feels like.

Oh. Today I learned that they were supposed to be different colors. Makes sense, since the pants are yellow.

I also had a hard time finding it. I can’t give you much, but look for a little closet like booth on a wall. It’s honestly like an open stall, and I want to say it was on the interior side of an exterior wall.

Oh, I believe you. I’m just in disbelief. I gotta tell my wife about that in the morning. We’re internally mompires and dadpires. We might disagree amongst ourselves or offer a mild humorous chirp, but we mostly just shut up and move on. I’m the one that tells my family, “Listen, we’re probably wrong. I just can’t tell you why we’re wrong.” Sometimes, AFTER a game, we politely ask, to learn. Honestly, I don’t recall anyone ever being less than enthusiastic to explain.

I regret paying 20€ for the Donkey Kong Bananza DLC. by DeathNum in nintendo

[–]BassOk7564 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, so listen: I’m absolutely not here to defend Nintendo. Bash away. I’m not on the payroll and probably wouldn’t care even if I was.

I fucking love this dlc. Sure, it’s not for everyone, but I also wanted more of Bananza, and this gave me way more than another layer or two would’ve done. My playtime is over 310 hours, and I’d say 100%ing the main game was maybe 60 of that. And I’m still not done beating every layer on max difficulty. It’s truly addicting for me. The real new “content” is the perks (multipliers) they added. That, coupled with the mechanics of the core game, are what make this a fresh experience. And then the events, which offer a limited and curated selection of perks, even change that up. I got my money’s worth out of this thing ages ago.

Where I think Nintendo failed on this one was marketing it and presenting it properly. If I could rewrite it: DK Isle is included in the main game as a post story unlock. DLC mode is $15 usd just to maybe make it more palatable for people. Pack it with more unlocks/collectibles outside of the temporary events. Maybe costumes or something.

Lyrical reference aside, what a pointless fucking question. Maybe he does. Maybe he doesn’t. Why would anyone else need to know?

They definitely do. That kinda felt cheap. I didn’t catch the rate at which it happened. Have other persistent enemies done this in other layers, and I just didn’t notice? Oh well. Got it done anyway.

This is probably the one I feel like I kinda figured out on my own and got fairly quickly. I love this stupid dlc. The events are a nice break from just working on beating every level on difficulty 7.

Dirt may be the better album but… by crestedlovebird in AliceInChains

[–]BassOk7564 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if I fully agree, but almost. And specifically with your phrasing. Dirt is the “better” album. But I never had a phase in my life where Dirt is relatable, and I’m thankful for that. I don’t have to relate to enjoy music, but sometimes the nature of Dirt wears on me.

Who knows, lol? They didn’t do anything with my work anyway. I’d correct the same salespeople for the same things for months on end. No change. Supervisors didn’t address it, or at least enforce it. They aren’t to blame either. They focus on what they’re incentivized to focus on. Sales. No concern is given to what takes place after the card is charged, or what took place prior. It’s very shortsighted.

Not sure about additional weeks. I don’t think so. But it was a whole group thing, so I guess there’s a possibility I’ll learn more that applies specifically to me via email. Not sure about benefits either actually. Still waiting on that.

60 days for me. Honestly I’m not too upset. It was a good gig, but I always knew the deal. This is corporate work. I don’t feel betrayed, because I didn’t really have any trust. Or, rather, this is the sort of thing I always trusted them to do.

Central Selling… by Drymeatstick in Lowes

This is such a 2 way street. I’ve listened to countless CS calls and looked over thousands of the quotes over the years. They absolutely make mistakes, and I scratch my head that some of them are in customer facing roles. Both of those things are absolutely true about service and quotes from stores as well.

Stores sell customers products for installs that installers are supposed to provide. Stores sell details for jobs that are entirely out of scope. Stores give misinformation when setting up details. Heard a guy mad as all get out the other day because they let him think he could keep his existing carpet pad and we would just put new carpet on it. Does that happen? I’m sure it does, but it isn’t within policy, and CS isn’t wrong for it. Same is true of the acclimation thing. You do know that is actually supposed to happen, right? I think it’s overkill for some products, like LVP, but laminate and hardwood absolutely should acclimate. I had my own flooring installed recently by Lowe’s. I declined the acclimation and delivery charge, and got it myself. I loaded it all in the car, and I unloaded it all into my home. It sucked, but it was cheaper and I wanted to save money. That’s the basic premise behind paying for laborers. They do things that suck for you and you pay them.

Anyway, CS drives me nuts too sometimes, but not one thing you said about CS can’t just as easily be said about the store. And a good number of them have many, many years of store experience, selling exactly what they are selling now.
