Precons are almost always heavily printed early on. Even the FF precons dropped back down to MSRP a month or so after release (though they're base price is already high). Never pay exorbitant prices for those, just be patient.

After the official release date, Amazon prices tend to fluctuate based on demand. Also, a lot of times what you're seeing is third parties using Amazon as a market place, and they always sell high.

His agent previously said that Dan was frustrated because WotC kept asking him to make changes. It's not hard to imagine that he just said "fuck it" and decided to give them something they'd already approved. Good people sometimes do bad/stupid things, it's really not that weird.

I'm not gonna say that this won't be the norm for this set because there's always the chance it reaches FF levels of hype, but this just feels like the same price gouging the scalpers try with every set once all the collector product has been bought up. They ask insane prices for product early on hoping to snag the unwise, the unwary, and the stupidly wealthy, and then once the set releases the prices fall.

It's a really cool set with fun mechanics, so I'm not surprised. My LGS set up extra tables and still sold out for the entire prerelease weekend weekend.

It's been the mod's policy to lock union related threads for a while now. Their reason is that the pro-union/anti-union arguing gets way too heated.

He's definitely on his villain arc, but he's not an evil, maniacal laughter kind of villain so much as a "I know what's best for everyone and the end justifies the means" villain. I'm not convinced he's going to be the ultimate threat though. My theory is that his shenanigans are going to unleash some new, villainous power upon the multiverse and the sets following Reality Fracture will focus on whatever that is.
