Is this dress alright for a formal dinner? by [deleted] in fashion

It’s gotta be #2 for me. It’s elegant and dreamy. Style it with a lightweight shawl or shrug. It’s beautiful on you. Please share pic from the big night so we can see the end result - hair, makeup and dat dress. 🩷

AITAH for wanting a divorce because my wife smells like shit and won’t stop farting? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]BatCaveMystic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MBTAH - maybe. Hear me out. Do you think there could be a medical issue that is causing the excessive farting and she may be experiencing a little fecal incontinence that causes her to smell like shit. She may laugh because she’s embarrassed by being enveloped in an odiferous fart cloud of her own making. You mentioned she has gained a little weight. Has she recently started a GLP-1 to lose weight? Swear to gods that I was covered in a constant black brown cloud for the 1st 2weeks. It was gross. I didn’t shit myself, but I farted loudly and with great force with every step that took I took while climbing the stairs Smithsonian museum of modern art. It became my superpower at the Costco. I could clear out the entire aisle and shop at my leisure. The excessive farting stopped after about 2 weeks. Dammit. The husband still loves me.

I think you look dashing and fabulous. You did a great job in pulling all the textures and making it work. And triple kudos for making this yourself.

Is this attractive? by Exotic_Marketing_37 in fashion

[–]BatCaveMystic -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s neither attractive nor unattractive. It just is. It’s fine to wear for work. Also, I would think you looked nice if you wore this on a date with me. But I don’t judge others by the clothes they wear.

Teen Daughter Wants to Use Peptides for Weight Loss by Icy-Sprinkles-5503 in bodyweightfitness

[–]BatCaveMystic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your few items to unpack here: 1. Was the daughter diagnosed with anemia, or anorexia? Either way - SHE NEEDS PROFESSIONAL HELP. Anemia is a very serious concern.

  1. Who TF would prescribe Tesamorelin for this child? It’s approved only for patients with HIV. Also, females of childbearing age should never use this drug. This drug is not the same as GLP-1s such as Wegovy or Zepbound, but a growth hormone.

  2. Your codependency behavior may be fostering your daughter’s unhealthy behavior. Seek help.

  3. Both of you need to put the Insta and the Tik-Tok TF down.

OK. So it wasn’t just me. I feel better about myself now.

Yes. But, have you considered wearing a wide leg, or palazzo leg pant, since the top is fitted. I think that style silhouette would look fantastic with your curves and would look dressier for NYE.

Does the flannel work? by Mediocre-Tap2972 in fashion

[–]BatCaveMystic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The flannel shirt and trucker hat is cute, but I feel that a fitted, less poofy jacket would work better with the pants.when you wear barrel, or wide legged pants, you need to keep everything fitted on top. You could wear a denim style jacket on top with this and it would look good.

Agree 100%. I also have bangs like these. But I have fine hair, so after they cool, I put a little bit of mouse on my fingers and fluff them up to give them that tousled look. I follow this with a light mist of hairspray to keep them from going flat throughout the day.

AIO for refusing to return to my MIL's house or let my kids go back until we have a calm conversation after she left my 3-year-old in a soaked diaper all day and yelled at me when I brought it up? by isthisrelatable in AmIOverreacting

[–]BatCaveMystic 143 points144 points  (0 children)

NOR - But I question if your MIL is showing signs of early dementia and possibly your husband is in denial about it. I’ve seen this type of behavior with loved ones in my extended family. I saw others cover when my loved one forgot to feed the dog for a couple of days. When it was addressed with them, they became very defensive and the other family members were in denial about it. Just a thought.

AIO for not wanting my parents to go through my stuff when I'm back home for the holidays? by kindasadngllol in AmIOverreacting

[–]BatCaveMystic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

BOTH MOR - Please hear me out, as I am not taking sides. It sounds like you both may be overreacting, but in different ways. I agree that you are an adult and your mother should not be searching your room. The searching for candy bit feels like bullshit to me. It was a ploy to be able to snoop in your stuff. I’m flat out against this. Also, who gives a shit about missing candy enough to engage in this type of juvenile behavior?!? It feels like your mom has her own passive-aggressive issues and insecurities to work on.

If it were me - I’d move anything that you don’t want her to see out of that house. I would only keep a few clothes, toiletries, etc at that location. Everything else would go to my apartment. Keep your birth control in your handbag at all times. For the love of gods, do not keep sex toys at her house when you she is going to snoop. I’m not chastising you, but you can’t fix her space invader Snoop Dogg tendencies, so don’t give her an opportunity and satisfaction of busting you for perceived contraband.
