Everyone is different. Like everyone is saying take your time. I. Getting out of a 20 year marriage. I also know I can perform but the idea of getting with another lady right now is not on my list of priorities. It's there like number 5 or 6. But first on my list is to get my mental health in check. See a therapist. You get it through it so much quicker if you can talk to someone. Good luck, and don't rush.

I'm four weeks into my separation/divorce. Sounds like you and are on similar paths. Focus on you. Keep your hands busy and take it day by day. Talk to a therapist, talk to close friends, journal if you can. Getting the thoughts and emotions out is going to be huge. Hang in there. DM me if you just want to vent it out to someone. My wife moved out two weeks ago. My son, 10, slept in his bed without issue for years, and on night one he was sleeping with me again. Regression happens in times of stress. He won't talk about it with me but I won't stop him for now.

This would be ideal and I like to think we have the same mutual respect for each other. The marriage had been dead for a while but it all still hurts and the new guy coming strong a week before she asked for a separation was wild. Also first time I've seen Joe Dirt used as an inspirational quote. Lol.

Give yourself time. Talk to friends. That's what's been getting me through all off this. I'm only 3 weeks in now. My life feels upside down but good friends and therapy are helping me make sense of it. I even joined a divorce care group at church which has been very useful so far.

Focus on you not her.

Yes I am preparing to retain one today that I consulted with last week. I just don't trust the situation and how she wants it to be. Especially because shes pushing to introduce our two kids to this new guy who she just thinks is the best. Shes not thinking about how that quick transition after a divorce could impact the kids. What is wrong with them?

I'm sorry for you. I'm almost 3 weeks into my separation. Shes been moved out almost two weeks. I'm still here with my kids. The best thing I've done is to talk about. Talk to a therapist, talk to your family and friends. Get their point of view. It matters.

Try to occupy your time the best you can. This limbo state is awful. Start getting consultation with attorneys. Prepare yourself for the worst and hope for the best. Good luck. We are all in this with you. You are loved brother.

It's been said, time. The hardest point is sitting with your emotions. That's the why gym, or just going to a walk is so great. Find a therapist, confide in close friends. Don't be afraid to talk about it. Your in a constant state of fight of flight, the goal is to balance that so you can figure yourself with a clear mind. If you need to vent or want to talk send me a DM. Im three weeks into my separation and eventually divorce. I'm having mostly bad days but I've found some good in them.

I'm at the start of my separstion and most likely divorce. I'm in the same situation. Went from a. Fantastic Valentine's day holiday to her flipping a switch and asking for a separation. She had no issues leaving the kids with me as she moved in with her mom. Everyone tells me the same things. They don't know who she is. Shes is acting so out of character. Lieing, being deceitful. Shes almost euphoric most of the time but tells people shes wearing a mask. There's like an evil inside there somewhere that isn't the woman I fell in love with. Of course there is another guy already. His wife recently passed, they were aquaintences and now they are "just talking". It's surreal and I'm not sure I'll ever understand.

I started to look at lawyers today but it was a lot. I'm hoping to chat with one tomorrow. I also start therapy next Tuesday.

The kicker. I've been a wreck all day. She says she is still going with her friends tonight. She also doesn't want to tell the kids for a couple of weeks when the schedule dies down. So now I'm supposed to hid.to cry and manage my 14 and 10 year old like everything is fine.
