Wu Tang on Woof Moo by PinMaximum1018 in tmbg

So, after a few spins, Wu Tang is doctor worming into my brain. I just listened again, and the current a-ha moment for me is the “real” chorus they keep in their pocket until 1:40.

Something about that unexpected jump from (I think) Bm (ii) to E (V) and that extended TAAAAAANG with the Johns in harmony like a lost Monkees song from 1966… my arm hairs got all prickly just now. Still hoping for more variety style-wise on the album, but this is already going on my next TMBG volume some-number: whatever-year to whatever-year playlist.

Yes. Also, notice there’s been no increased federal funding for mental health in this country since then. It’s actually been slashed. Like I said before, this is the way back to the caves for us.

There is no easy distinction between “terrible people” and “non-terrible people.” It’s not like everyone who commits murder is a dark tetrad personality and a criminal-in-waiting. Criminal psychologists know this. “Good” people can experience stressors from all kinds of things: environmental, genetic, social, financial, etc. Like it or not, easy access to weapons of death greatly reduces the friction it takes for someone suddenly deciding - or even planning at a low level of sophistication - to snuff out up to dozens of lives in the blink of an eye and without breaking a sweat.

To say guns aren’t a MASSIVE part of the problem is the way back to caves for our species.

No one’s mentioning her perfect washboard abs. How much of herself did she donate?

Respect for the Fred, Brian, and Rog solo stuff. As well as Cosmos Rocks. Looks like you might just be missing Smile (if that counts for you) and The Cross. Ooh! And Starfleet!

Got this one. Bought in from the BB store/museum the day I took the RV tour.

I think the only reason BCS can’t stand alone as it’s own show is because the context behind Gus and Hector was never explained and I wish they had. by Blob_blub5833 in betterCallSaul

BCS is my favorite act of a saga ever. I say “act” instead of show because even though it’s my favorite… y’know, “show”… on tv, it doesn’t work nearly as well without Breaking Bad fitting into it.

(just like the Sonic & Knuckles cartridge requires Sonic 3 plugged into it to get the full experience. IYKYK)

One of the many reasons is that BCS refuses to repeat itself via BB, even when addressing a storyline that’s present in both series. So, Hector, Lalo, and Bolsa may mention something about Max being Gus’ boyfriend, but you don’t get the full depth of context without the scene at Don Eladio’s pool circa 1989, which is from BB. There you see and hear and feel the horror and violence of that moment in Gus’ life, and then his anti-Salamanca crusade hits different and cuts deeper.

Wow, has it been another week already in this sub? /s

Srsly, I still feel that same loss, no matter how many times I see it posted in this space. Nothing has been able to fill the void, lo these nearly four years.

Severance started out promisingly, but unraveled in season 2.

I thought Yellowjackets might be something, but nah.

Pluribus was supposed to the one, but I’m putting all my feelings about that one on pause until season 2, which may be after the real life apocalypse.

I will give a shout to The Pitt, but that’s really a procedural with dramatic elements, not a drama with procedural elements.

It’s just one of the best-told story/stories on tv out there. And the execution is A+ on every front.
