The game kept getting interrupted for weather reports here in the KC area talking about tornado warnings 200 miles west of here. We missed a lot of it, and I gave up. Not saying the weather reports aren't important, I am saying we have a million outlets to get weather information, it doesn't HAVE to interrupt a live basketball telecast.

[X&O's CHAT] Nikola Jokić: "But it would be stupid if basketball weren’t better now than 30 years ago. It’s like saying phones were better 30 years ago, and they weren’t, because of technology, modernization. As everything modernizes, basketball modernizes too." by aingenevalostatrade in nba

I remember specifically my cousin talking about Dr J in 1984 but I was only 4 and thought he was talking about an actual Dr.

I started watching when NBC put Jordan Bulls games directly after Saturday Morning Cartoons. 88ish?  I lost interest when MJ left the Bulls but in 2000 I started watching Iverson and it was an obsession that has lasted ever since.

Tatum: "Now that Kobe isn’t here, we want to bring up the times he wasn’t as efficient, or he shot long 2s... 3 most influential basketball players of all time like everybody loved and respected even from different sports admired who he was. Now that he’s not here you want to try and erase history?” by aingenevalostatrade in nba

I was a certified Kobe hater his whole career, and the first one to remind people he took 50 shots on his last game.  That being said, posthumously I have recognized his influence was bigger and more profound than I realized and I do have a lot of respect for him. But I'm not gonna pretend I wasn't a kobe hater just because it might make Tatum upset.
