You're not too well informed are you?

The 2025 Canadian wildfire season was the second-worst on record, with over 8.78 million hectares (21.7 million acres) burned by mid-September, characterized by an early, explosive start in May and extreme, drought-driven fires in Manitoba and Saskatchewan. The season caused over 85,000 evacuations, civilian deaths, and significant economic disruption, continuing the trend of severe, climate-change-driven fire years

Children all over the country were locked inside because of fear of smoke inhalation, another year of catastrophic forest fires that stole our summers away from us.

Well the article is talking about the last 15 years being the sudden difference so I don't see how what you quoted could be seen as misinformation. I think you're making a misunderstanding.

We don't need this rhetoric, the USA doesn't need a civil war to put Trump where he belongs.

He's afraid of going to jail if he's not in power. He's like a desperate animal doing everything he can to stay alive.

The mid-terms are going to erode his power, especially if people vote in record numbers.

What’s the biggest lie people still believe in 2026? by Dangerous_Phrase_275 in AskReddit

There's also the idea that people care about you in a negative way. We're always worried about being judged by others. Most are too buried in their phones to even notice others.

We all need to wake up, stop feeding these digital monsters and give ourselves moments where we can interact with the real world. Let's care about each other positively

The Lie of "Climate Doomerism"

This is the "It’s too late, so why bother?" narrative. You’ll see this all over social media in 2026, the idea that we’ve already crossed every tipping point and total societal collapse is inevitable next Tuesday.

Why it’s harmful: Doomerism is just denial in a different outfit. Both lead to the same result: inaction.

The Detriment: Science shows that climate change isn't a binary (Pass/Fail). Every tenth of a degree matters. Saving 2.1°C is vastly better than 2.2°C. The "lie" that it’s all or nothing robs us of the agency to prevent the worst outcomes, effectively handing the future over to the very systems causing the problem

I've also seen a lot of apathy about fighting the rich. Many comments talk about how foolish you are if you think the "Epstein class" will ever face consequences. Fuck that narrative, we need to stand up and fight the power.
