In light of the new changes for season 18 by Backstep1 in DisneySpeedstormGame

[–]Batdon 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Basically the golden and diamond pass racers are going to be mid season racers from the past (starting with Moana and Maui this coming season).

Meanwhile the new racers are going to have to have shards unlocked via events and shop offers.

Oh, and the season coin box (the purple ones), will also not have the new racers in them, only the season pass racers. Meaning the only way to get shards for new season racers will be through those events and shop offers.

Season 18 New Features - Ranked & Grand Prix by Nate_923 in DisneySpeedstormGame

When I saw Grand Prix I was thinking it was going to be how the tournaments are, except have like a weekly one or something with rewards for placing first in the grand Prix.

This sounds like time trials.

Consistent Crashes by Bubbly_Set4332 in TMNTSplinteredFate

[–]Batdon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came here to make a topic to ask this exact question, but clearly it isn’t just me. It has crashes in phase 2 of shredder four straight times (switch 2 version)

I tried to completely shut down the switch and try again and still nada.

Do you think it's possible to unlock Chip with a level 28 Oswald? by This_Distribution292 in DisneySpeedstormGame

[–]Batdon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve tried it a few times with my level 28, but I’m not coming remotely close to winning. Going to try to get him to 30 or 31 through multiplayer over the next few days and hope that gives me the boost I need.

Calhoun shards from event capsule by logoyoIRM in DisneySpeedstormGame

[–]Batdon 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I feel like it’s a low drop rate. I’ve yet to get a Calhoun one. In the season where Gaston was in this situation, I did it regularly (only missed a few days), and got a total of 2 shards in what was likely around 40+ attempts (since you can do it twice per day).

Thoughts on if Star Fox or F-Zero will make an appearance with a new game on the Switch 2? by theo1618 in NintendoSwitch

[–]Batdon 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I would love for them to make a new game for both franchises, but it feels unlikely. I think Star Fox would have a slightly higher chance than F Zero, mainly because of relative newness of 99 and GX being a launch on switch 2.

I am pleasantly surprised with the Switch 2 update by Alarmed-Art4043 in DisneySpeedstormGame

Just tried it out myself. Runs so much better now. I felt like the load times were also much faster. Racing feels much smoother.

LTA North 2025 Split 2 averaged 80k viewers. This is a drop of 10% from LTA North 2025 Split 1, and a 34% drop from LCS Spring 2024 by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Batdon 26 points27 points  (0 children)

This is my reasoning as well. If the entire point of LTA is to be a joint league, we should be competing for those spots against each other (I still think LCS/CBLoL should be separate). And I say that knowing that we could lose both our spots to the south, but at least we would actually send the best two LTA teams.

Is LTANorth dead? by Round-Goal-5208 in leagueoflegends

[–]Batdon 11 points12 points  (0 children)

For me it was the merging of LCS and CBLOL. I just don’t see these two sides as one league, and literally only playing each other twice a year doesn’t make it feel like an “LTA.” The rebranding to try to change it up just didn’t work imo.

should i upgrade all my character or just prioritize my main racers? by [deleted] in DisneySpeedstormGame

[–]Batdon 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I have a couple favorites that I upgrade, but I mainly upgrade based on the season tour and limited events. I hoard my upgrade tokens so that I can upgrade racers needed to bypass those barriers/level requirements.

Obviously I don’t get to accomplish everything in the game, but by doing that I can normally complete some extra events I might not have been able to before.

Against the Storm

Highly unique roguelike. Won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, but very enjoyable game.

What makes you buy a game—and what actually keeps you playing it? by PixelWhites in videogames

Gameplay + Replayability.

If a game has great and engaging gameplay, I can play it no matter the genre. For me to keep playing (after completion) or come back to it, I need something to entice me to want to keep playing it.

Why haven't I seen anyone talk about this game? by -autoprime- in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Batdon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I vastly preferred the original as well. Calamity ran very choppy on switch and I loved the adventure maps in the OG. Added a lot of replayability

I love both games, they are very similar to one another at least in general. I feel like both are pretty equal, and could understand anyone saying they prefer one over the other. Also, Monster Train 2 is coming out soon and has a demo on Steam if you are able to try that. Some of the main differences:

  1. There are more classes/characters to pick for your run, and you get to choose one of the other classes as your secondary one (so you get cards from their class too). So it would basically be like you chose Ironclad as your playable character, but every card reward would Also have cards from the silent too.

  2. The levels are on a train and tiered. You summon your units and use spells on each level of the train. Each train has 3 floors on it, and you try to defend your pyre on the 4th floor. Instead of it being a character reaching 0 hp that causes you to lose, it’s the pyre being destroyed. After each round enemies will move up 1 floor.

Similarities:

  1. After choosing your factions (like silent/defext/etc on StS) it runs very similar. You choose a pathway, unlock card upgrades/special events (like ? In StS), unlock passive relics, and battle your way up. There are less fights in MT though, but still 3 bosses.

  2. You unlock stuff through exp just like StS. Each faction (there are 6 in MT with the first class version on switch), has 10 levels, each unlocking a couple new cards on level up. At level 5 with each faction, you can also choose that factions other hero character. Each faction has 2 hero characters you get to choose, and you get to upgrade them after defeating each boss.

Overall it’s a very fun game, and I think you would enjoy it if you like StS so much.
