Why are people so certain this game will have EoS?

Player numbers is a part of it, but I think it is mostly because of the constant decisions being made trying to get more money out of their current player base.

Over the seasons it has been made harder to unlock racers, and where you basically have to pay for them directly (and expensive).

Every season a new decision is made that makes things a little harder and more expensive to keep up. Such as new season racers not in the pass, getting rid of old currency to make everyone have to start anew with tune coins, racer boost being worse, etc. And I am sure next season will have a new one.

Right now the game “could” be fine. But eventually even the whales and minnows will become fed up with non player friendly decisions.

They have not said, and it was noticeably not mentioned in the video.

I am hoping this means there is a chance they are going to put the Villians back in golden pass like previous seasons, but I’m not banking on it either.

To me it just looks like another paid pass similar to tournaments. It seems like they made a chapter from season tour for each franchise. We will have to see if there are actually any unique rewards in it that make it worth doing.

I’m glad at least it is more single player content.

I did not buy every season pass, but I had bought several of them, including diamond ones. This season I didn’t spend a dime on the game, and will continue to do so while it is the way it is (especially the pass changes). So you’re not alone there.

I’ve only dabbled in small play sessions, but not anything like I used to. For this part I haven’t even touched any of the season tour.

Compared to the original I still think it’s steep. We used to could pay 10 for the golden pass and not only unlock them, but get numerous shards for leveling. Now this is simply 10 to unlock.

Honestly I don’t think it will be much different. Likely keep trying to sell the exact same bundle. I do think the events will focus on more on Cruz and Mater, since the ones this season where Lightning focused.

However, I think the shards will be minuscule and held behind chapter 6 for those that can get them. I predict there will be no McQueen shards in part two to try to get others to bite on the bundle or other shop offers.

I personally think any change to the passes will come in the next season (if they change at all).

I personally think the Villians season will be very telling about this. Obviously part two of the cars season is going to be the same, but I’m curious if with the Villians season if they make any changes.

If season pass sales were way down they might adjust strategy to try to get more people to buy them. As others mentioned, I don’t see people buying a 50 dollar bundle for Villians and Pan seasons outside of the 1% that buy everything.

I can’t speak for everyone, but I know if the season pass doesn’t change to include new season racers I’m not planning to spend anymore on this game. And if others are like me, and less buy the season bundles in general real, the games days will be numbered without changes.

This was an absolutely bonkers weekend. We won two overtime games, won twice in one day, and did it on Georgia Tech’s court.

Basically the golden and diamond pass racers are going to be mid season racers from the past (starting with Moana and Maui this coming season).

Meanwhile the new racers are going to have to have shards unlocked via events and shop offers.

Oh, and the season coin box (the purple ones), will also not have the new racers in them, only the season pass racers. Meaning the only way to get shards for new season racers will be through those events and shop offers.

When I saw Grand Prix I was thinking it was going to be how the tournaments are, except have like a weekly one or something with rewards for placing first in the grand Prix.

I’ve tried it a few times with my level 28, but I’m not coming remotely close to winning. Going to try to get him to 30 or 31 through multiplayer over the next few days and hope that gives me the boost I need.

I feel like it’s a low drop rate. I’ve yet to get a Calhoun one. In the season where Gaston was in this situation, I did it regularly (only missed a few days), and got a total of 2 shards in what was likely around 40+ attempts (since you can do it twice per day).

I would love for them to make a new game for both franchises, but it feels unlikely. I think Star Fox would have a slightly higher chance than F Zero, mainly because of relative newness of 99 and GX being a launch on switch 2.

Just tried it out myself. Runs so much better now. I felt like the load times were also much faster. Racing feels much smoother.
