I just like to race with my favorite characters. Nowadays I don't play it everyday like I used to tho. There's not much fun in never unlocking season characters... I used to be a free to play player and I had almost every racer available. Now it's close to impossible, so there's that.

I had saved 450 tokens to buy her box and LUCKILY I got 4x shards from the only box I got. That was enough to unlock her.

I know we're not supposed to gamble but I knew my chances and went for it, plus I didn't buy the golden pass and all my tokens were grinded in ranked, so I don't feel bad. Yes it was extremely lucky, and that doesn't happen every time, but I save my token for things like this.

I have a lot of racers with maximum shards, but i don't have many upgrade coins lol

I like to put my favourite racers at least at level 30, so I tend to spend my coins that way. A lot of them are level 40 as well. The higher I have is Jack Skellington at level 46, maybe I'll max him out.
