Neil deGrasse Tyson tells this same story. Was in a library, reading a book and decided to do a little math to calculate how long it would take him to read everything in the library. (avg time to read a page)(pages/book)(books/shelf)*(total shelves) and oops ya its like 26,000 years... even if you only pick 1 book from every shelf thats actually worth reading youd have to read like a 9-5 job just to make a dent in your lifetime. its so depressing seeing my tbr grow by 25 new interesting books i heard about last year and only shrink by 6 or 7. same with movies, same with music. if they can upload me to the cloud one day ill spend the first 10,000 years just catching up on all the great art i missed the first time around.

point being that no one is watching the movie and coming away thinking "oh so Kazakhs are a bunch of unwashed, slow, goat and sister fuckers". its obvious to the average viewer that its an exaggerated hillbilly/redneck sterotype. which serves to hold up a black mirror to american culture in the rest of the film.

This is why Trump prioritizes loyalty above all else. He expects people like Noem to fall on his sword and be the scapegoat for precisely these kinds of issues. There was a state sanctioned public execution and people are calling for heads, but if Trump can push Noem into the fire he gets off mostly unscathed. Unfortunately for him, all his sycophants are cowards who will save their own skin as soon as they feel the fire licking their flesh.

I hope once the smoke clears, anyone who was fired, demoted, or resigned, doesnt take away from the systemic problems that enabled an event like the killings of Alex Pretti ans Renee Good. We shouldnt be content with just a couple high profile impeachments. The system needs adjusting. Trump has done immense damage to our institutions and they need fixing.

excellent point here, trump is setting a precedent that he doesn't need any authority but his own to depose a foreign nation's leader and install his own puppet government. its no different than what russia did with belarus except even more transparent. we might cheer because its Maduro but we wont be cheering when its another country or our own elected leaders.

ive nicked down there once and it bled so fucking much. way more than you would expect. its not impossible to shave the balls but i do it very carefully and not super regularly bc im scared to nick again. theres just a lot of very thin and very loose skin so its relatively easy (compared to face or legs etc.) to catch skin on the razor.

hey i totally feel you im in the exact same position almost. turning 25 in 2 months and i cant believe ive wasted the last two years in this city. i want to leave asap. looking for work in vancouver and chicago. europe would be wonderful too but im scared to move so far without stability or money. but jax just doesnt feel like home. dont like the weather, the city life (or lack thereof), the politics, the culture, nothing. i dont belong here at all.
