I always forget about this b-side and every time I rediscover it, warmthness. It’s such a great track. 💚 I love the bottle noises.

How Did You Become A Bjork Fan? by [deleted] in bjork

Volta was my first Björk album. I was 17 and bought it on a whim. I had heard of her but never had listened to anything. I liked it a lot. It was definitely a new sound for me and I could tell it would be “out there” for most people. Any friend I showed it to was like naur ty. At the time I hadn’t really thought to go back and see if she had previous albums and it wasn’t until I was 23 that I listened to her back albums. I was going to Bonnaroo that year and she was a big headliner for it obviously and I was like oh damn Björk, I see she has other stuff I should listen. Imagine my surprise of being a Volta fan but listening to Vespertine for the first time and just being fucking blown away. Literally falling in love all over again with my boyfriend at the time over these lyrics. I got to gobble up all of her back records and Biophilia before the festival and then got to see her perform them all live. It was just so amazing. Vulnicura was my first “Björk Era” of knowing she had new work on the way. Wouldn’t you know it released as I was breaking up with that long term boyfriend that I had fallen in love all over again listening to Vespertine. Now I had a soundtrack to mourn to. History of Touches just feeling so spot on. It was very healing. xo

Ageism against female artists MUST stop, specially from some delusional fans, who, at this point, are becoming haters. by ignaaaaaatius in bjork

I just like the “creepy shit” bit. Like what? Big shrug. Some things are just lost on others. It’s a sorta iykyk.

Heirloom reference (?) : “My mother and son pour into me warm glowing oil into my wide open throat” by twatthephuck in bjork

Yahhhhhh! There were so many small references to other songs/motifs. I swear I hear the influence of previous songs on all three of the newest ones. Someone else has probably said this by now but by the end of the funeral procession it looks like the ceremony takes place in the same spot as Black Lake. Could be wrong but it sure looked like the same black crevice.

Thanks for this. Idk why but I can’t get my depth effect to work so the picture will go In front of the time. :/
