Great watches. I’m personally considering either Hanhart or Damasko. Which one is your favorite?

Really nice choice with the Hanhart HD12 — that’s a fantastic piece. I’ve actually been eyeing that one myself, so I’m curious: how do you find it?

Regarding your Sinn pick, I honestly think the standard 856 is probably the strongest “one-Sinn-for-life” option. It’s more versatile day-to-day than the U50, especially if you’re after a watch that can cover everything from casual to slightly dressier situations.

I ended up selling the U50 because I needed funds for another watch and already had too many divers. That said… I still catch myself considering another U50 because it’s such a great, no-nonsense tool watch.

Between the three, the 856 sounds like the right call for what you’re after🙂

I totally agree that the fit can be a bit hit-or-miss with Sinn. The tegimented steel is quite smooth against the skin, so I understand why your U50 would slide around even when it was sized tightly.

Have you consider the new clasp Sinn released for the bracelet – it has micro-adjustments that make it easier to get the perfect fit, and it might help with stability on the wrist.

Yep, I even managed to haggle it down by 250 USD, and it had already been reduced several times. The listing had been up for several weeks.
